What's new

🛠️ What have you done to your F150 Tremor this week?

Small modification but it made big difference to the look of the trick.
Images before and after
I swapped out my hoop style on the 2021 to the square hook that came on the newer trucks. I agree, small change and really made no difference in the capability but man it looks so much better.

Switching from the welded loop style front tow hooks (23 Tremor) to the heavier squared off ones, I loss approximately 1/2 of clearance on the top side. I use my front tow hooks, and that loss of clearance makes it easier to scratch/damage the surrounding surfaces along with limit what can be used to attached to the front tow hooks. I added a Hook Spacer with upgraded/longer bolts, got back the 1/2" loss plus an additional 1/8".

Yeah, the squared off ones work a lot better with the modular bumpers on the 24+ trucks. I noticed the same things on my 2025 401a Tremor.

Got it detailed. Installed upr catch can and clean side separator.

Just curious, but why did you go with a positive offset in 18mm? I've got a set of Fuel Crush wheels coming for my '25 Lariat in 20x10 with a -19mm offset to push them outwards a bit. I'm doing what you did with the stock tires, keeping them. LOL... They only have 5800 miles on them.
I went with this offset because I am going to swap out to a 35" tire when the stock ones are done, and with only a leveling kit on the front, the closer I stay to stock offset the less likely it will be that I need to trim fender liners or crash bars to keep them from rubbing. I don't necessarily want a ton of poke either (just my personal preference) so the +18 achieves exactly the look I was going for. In truth, if they would have offered the wheels in a +20 I would have gone with that offset.

Spent Saturday afternoon adding back in the deleted heated steering wheel option with a new wheel, sccm, and hvac control. Also learned on the fly how to use Forscan and so far it looks like I haven't messed anything up.

Also worked on merging a set of Ford Performance gloss black fender vents with a set of Tremor fender vents, but not totally happy with how they came out so still working on it.....

I added the ford OEM wheel well liners to my 2025 today.

It is hands down, the best cosmetic mod you can do outside of maybe tint for your truck, especially if it's a lighter color...

I had the Husky's on my 2023 and these OEM ones are much higher quality. Yes they aren't as "thick" but they fit much better and look better.

I installed a pre-intake filter. Nothing special. Cosmetic but does a decent job of keeping dust and bugs out of the box, what’s it designed to do.

Got around to making a second set of these and much happier with the end results. The first set i used glue to reassemble them, but this time I bought a $20 plastic welder from Harbor Freight and went the route of re-welding all the plastic tabs. I may try one more set and actually sand and paint the plate that holds the F-150 and Tremor badges so I have a completely uniform blacked out set but these are on the truck now. (Ignore the fingerprints in the pictures, it was 10:30 last night when I finished so I didn't clean them up). If anyone wants the first set I made I will give them away, but they aren't perfect (one of the "0" didn't get fully seated when I glued everything back together. If anyone is interested, please send me a PM.

Nice. Would'nt it have been easier, though not permanent, to plasti-dip the chrome?

It would have, I would have had to spend about 3x the amount of time to prep the emblems, and I wanted gloss black on the main portion of the vent cover as well as the letters.

I like the orange 5.0L Coyote V8 badge. I might have to get a pair of thosse.

Happy to report that my plastic welding skills passed the ultimate test of the spinning brushes of death in the automatic car wash this afternoon. :ROFLMAO:
