What's new

🛠️ What have you done to your F150 Tremor this week?

Installed ADD Stealth Fighter bumper, winch, lights

Ambers were really nice last night in the dark with side blowing snow, have never had them prior and dang I love them.

Can you get some pics of the cv angles and jacked up to see if the uca makes contact at full droop.

Sure thing. I know the shop checked contact before finishing up the job. I also just checked for contact just now at full droop. I believe its all clear. Link below has wheels on and off ground CV angles. The suspension photos after the first two are all wheels off the ground. Let me know if you see anything awry ;)

Installed a BAK X4s tonneau cover and Builtright molle panels. Did have to cut off a couple squares in the upper corner of the two small panels to fit better around the clamps holding down the cover.

Took my grille apart to work on my bracket design to mount 10 diode dynamics ssc2 pods behind the lower “mesh” section of the grille. My goal is to retain the active shutters except for the 2 lower shutters on each side. I’ll pull them out in order to clear the pods.

Cashed in some ford points, had a break in the rain and went for it. Very fast install ~5 mins outside of cleaning the wells.

Yeah, I do miss the heated steering wheel and the homelink garage door opener buttons!! Bummer on a 65k truck....
Never had a heated steering wheel before. I'll never own another vehicle without it now! Similar to adaptive cruise control - this' a must once you've had it.

What I really want to do is install a freaking heated steering wheel and a wireless charger that actually chargers instead of my phone being drained and getting really hot.

But what I ended up doing late last week I got window visors, a spray bed liner, undercoating, soft tonneau cover, stubby antennae, and replaced my license plate lights. Next on the list just might have to be tinted front windows. What's the recommended percentage?

That being said, my dealership messed up my undercoating and it's chipping away already so I have to take that back in tomorrow to get fixed. Unless it's common for the undercoating to chip away easily around the wheel wells. The dealership seemed to think it should not and that they made a mistake. If it continues to chip away, I'll look into wheel well liners. Then the guy they hired to do my bed liner missed some spots so I have to take that to his shop some time in the next few weeks to get that touched up. Been a pretty frustrating first couple weeks of being a Tremor owner here ha.

But I've already gotten a few compliments for sure.

If I can’t get Bilstien 8112’s this is the route I plan on going. How do they ride?

I put in the vertex adjustable rears in September last year after realizing the factory shocks were too soft for my on road driving style. I was very impressed with the vertex shocks once I put them in. The adjustability gives me a lot of flexibility. Factory shocks were roughly equivalent to 3 out of 8 on the vertex shocks.

After a few months being happy with the vertex shocks I decided to get the matching struts and I have been equally happy with it. The factory struts are roughly equivalent to 4 out of 8 on the vertex struts. I currently run 3 up front and 4 in the back when I want softer on road experience and 4 front / 5 rear when I want handling to be a bit stiffer. Offroading I tend to ramp up the stiffness more.

Overall I'm happy with them!

Is there a reason you wouldn’t put a DD stage series lightbar right there? Because that would be awesome and something I would be interested in!

the main reason im not just using a stage series lightbar is that by using the ssc2 pods, i can customize my beam pattern completely. i know you can swap lenses on the bars every 6", but the pods let me do it every 2ish inches and there are more optic options to choose from. on top of the lens customization, you get alot more light output from 10 SSC2s(13,178 lumens measure output for my configuration of pods) than you do from a 30" stage series bar.(7000 lumens of measured output) They also don't currently offer backlighting on the light bars, and i really want to have amber backlight for them as DRLs.

True that makes sense, but would 5 pairs of ssc2’s make it cost prohibitive?(sports or pros)

Would mounting SS5 pods maybe be possible? They offer backlighting. A pair of these is insane light output. Take out more shutters? Maybe!

5 pairs of ssc2's is certainly not cheap. im sponsored though so i get a pretty good discount.

The SS5's do offer a lot of output and could certainly be mounted. But im really looking to confinethe light to behind the lower "mesh" like section of the grille. if i extend up above that, most of the SS5 would be blocked by the lower solid section of the grille. you could mount them higher up so that they are shining through the larger open sections to either side of the Emblem, but i dont want them to be that visible. im going for the more stealth look with this setup.

all that being said, the bracket im making should be compatible with a stage series light bar if pods arent the desired route.

Good to know, looking forward to it! How did you get sponsored? That’s awesome!

Quality seems pretty good. The strip is in an aluminum channel and clear epoxied in so I’m not concerned for water issues. I played with the lights a little and they look solid. They have an amber sequential turn signal function, along with red brake lights, and white reverse light mode.
how did you end up wiring them?
