What's new

🛠️ What have you done to your F150 Tremor this week?

Progress ~ all afternoon working on the Tremor. Added the lighted cup holder, Media Bin Light and the glove box light. I also added the new HVAC Control Module with the digital temp displays. Still pissed at FORD for leaving these out! But I love the Tremor! All came out great and def worth the time. Only suggestion, take your time taking everything apart.

This is great work! Can I ask how long it took?

A good 6 hours, because I worked extremely slow as I didnt want to break something which is my norm. I took my time not breaking anything and I also swapped out the HVAC module which took some extra time. Definitely worth it. If you have to cut out for the media bin use a dremel and DONT make it too big. Mine came out perfect, light clicked in and I used silicone on the inside to hold in place and (painters tape on light side to hold in place till it cured). Another tip is to make sure you test ALL lights before putting back together. You order all the parts, and get the plug and play harnesses from John. Good Luck. I definitely wont do the heated steering wheel, although nice, and pisses me off that ford cut it out of the high end models, its not worth it, cost and all.

Starting to get lights, solar and wiring done on the rack. I have like a mile of wire to run all over the truck.

I moved forward on my aux power distribution panel. Had the panel made by send cut send. It came this week along with all the electrical goodies to go on it.

Got around to installing it today.

I started by wiring all 6 factory wires into a 6 pin dt connector.

Then I made the other side of the harness.

After that, I got to installing the panel and trimming all the wiring harnesses I had to organize everything.

I still have some trimming of harnesses to do to eliminate extra wire, but I cut out a good amount of rats nest from under my hood.

The m supper pleased with how it turned out. And I’ve got room for expansion if I ever need it. Currently using 5 of the 6 upfitters.
1 is ditch lights
2 is behind grille light bar
3 is rock lights low
4 is rock lights high
5 is empty
6 is back lighting on the ditch lights and grille lightbar.

Very nice, now have them make a cover to hide all that. Powder coat it black with a CB Design logo on it.

Have you done a write up on your rock lights yet? I think I want to go with the DD ones. But still thinking two per wheel well and 8 under the truck.

I have not done a write up on the rock lights. I broke one during install so waiting for the replacement.

2 per wheel well would be wicked bright. The high mode is pretty dang bright.

What’s your goal with them? Just spaceship mode?

Spaceship for sure.

just added the matte finish screen protector from the ocd plug. Looks really good and cuts down the glare on the screen.

Got one sitting here waiting on the truck. How was the install? Did it go just like the You tube. Any pointers.

Don’t press too hard trying to remove bubbles. It will leave lines that are visible with polarized sun glasses.

Was a wild realization when I installed mine

Diode Dynamics reverse with Specialty Performance Part Bracket. Only down side had to extend harness to reach rear.

How difficult was the install? How bright is it at night? Thinking of doing something similar..

Easy install with their kit as I also did ditch. The pain in the A is the dang extending harness and then routing securely from front to rear to ensure well tucked up underneath. I’m anal so it was to run on frame but little to no good secure points but figured it out.

Keep in mind I got DD harness and lights from them then found the bracket. They SPP has full kit. No I’m not paid by them!

Yes SPP is amazing, I installed with their kit that taps into the taillight back up lights. The harness they provide is top notch!

I also have the ronin and can confirm no signal loss on the radio or anything at all. Highly recommend!
How far from the source? I'll be 30-50 mi away with some hills and stuff. Just want to know if it's worthy.
Figured some of you TX, MT and ID boys will know what I mean when you're a bit further away.
Sorry if this has been covered.
