Does anyone have a link for Blacked out fender vent side badges? Looking for ones that look factory but all black.
I was thinking about trying PlastiDip, and seeing how that works. May try it on my 2016 F150 on the badges to practice first.

Access roll up tonneau cover.

Did my 20k Oil Change. Man even with the correct tools this thing is a *itch to change. I think the Engineers do this on purpose to make it hard on us. I have changed oil in many of my past vehicles from American, European and Japanese and this one takes the cake. I think I saw other posting on here on how fun this is. I don't trust the dealers here plus they won't use Amsoil which I prefer. Even if I just give them the Oil and let them charge me extra. 🤷‍♂️ I know the other Oils out there are good especially with the certifications, but I like Amsoil. I do use the Ford OEM Oil Filter. This go around I used some MOTIV X Tools. Funnel and Oil Filter tool. It made it easier. This Filter tool fits both the 14/30 Flute. I think the newer Filters are 14.

I have to get better on tightening that Oil Filter. I know you only need to hand tighten which I do but I get worried and probably tighten it more than needed so when I go to take off. It's a lot tighter than it needs to be. People say once Filter makes contact, then 3/4 turn, I think. It just doesn't seem to be tight enough. I know the threads are fine and close together so that should be good. I tried to get good and only take out that small plate to access the Oil Filter but no luck. It is just too small in there to move anything around. I don't have long arms or huge hands. Still can't really move around to loosen. Ended up just taking off the front skid plate. I also tried from the top but I am not the tallest person and some things still got in the way. It looks like it may be possible to loosen it that way if needed. I guess if you are able to take off the Filter by hand, that small access plate should be good enough. One day I will get comfortable enough to just turn that Oil Filter only 3/4 after contact. 😆

Did a full detail and wax after installing tailgate letter decals last weekend. Now everything is the way I want it.

2023 AMB high package with Torsen. I got the mudflaps from a place in Lethbridge, the door sill protectors from American Trucks and the tailgate letters from a guy on Etsy.

I installed a garmin power switch to give me 6 additional switches. Yes, I’ve consumed my 6 upfitters with various lighting.

I chose the garmin because their app supports CarPlay. I didn’t want to mount and wire another switch panel in the cab somewhere. So now I can control 6 seperate switches from the dash screen. I can also setup custom groups to turn on selected accessories together. It also has to trigger inputs so you can set certain accy to turn on if one of the triggers is active ie. Ignition power.

I intend to move my less used, passive lighting (like back lighting, chase lights, etc.) to it and free up the upfitters for more used items.

So far I’m a fan of it. It’s a nice unit. I want to make a nicer mount for it than just sitting it on the fuse box cover though.

I will say, I wish the app would let me import a picture or something as an icon. That might be too busy, but I need to play around with customizing the buttons and look a little more.

How did you run the cables? Is there a harness that plugs into the brake lights?
I paid a truck accessory shop couple hundred bucks, they connected it to the Aux switch, I didn't want it run to the reverse lights but they can do it if you want it, they tucked the cables up into the bed and into the Aux harness, I guess its near the battery. I'm not electrically inclined so well worth the $200 to have em do it :)

How’s the response time doing it like this? I have a buddy with it on a iPad in his SxS and its painfully slow to use.

It’s been instant for me. No noticeable lag in either the app or with the CarPlay buttons on the dash.

Installed my new bedside decals this morning. I don't know about anyone else, but the factory ones were very uneven and both were crooked! I took them off right away because they looked like shit.

I designed these and had I local shop build them for me, they came out great!! I'm not usually a bedside sticker guy, but I'll run these for a while and see how I feel.

I went with a matte finish and I'm super happy with the look! These are 24" long so a few inches longer (and a bit taller) than factory.

Hit up VinylMahem.Com if you are interested, he is a good buddy of mine, who has been in the sticker business for many years, due great work. @vinylmahem on Instagram a well!
