What's new

🛠️ What have you done to your F150 Tremor this week?

Here ya go, also here's the kit i got amazon. Had to get more 2 pin connectors.

so you have 6 ground leads going from the bus bar to the 12 pin connector along with the 6 positives from the truck? i assume this is the case but cant see in the pictures.

its a nice setup. i did similar but with my aux power distribution panel i made, i just run the ground wires from each accessory to the grounding bus bar and the positive to a terminal block. this lets me add larger relays if necessary. but your harness is nice a simple for using straight forward accessories that don't require higher current relays than what's included in the circuits.

That's exactly what I did and was going for. Nice and simple. The ground wires run down from the bus bar and around that tensioner bolt for the battery strap and into the female 12 pin. I was doing some calculating for all the amp draws I'm anticipating on and I figured I would use the factory Aux switches for lights only. I have 15 diode dynamics pods which is probably more than I would ever practically use. I have a spare Switch pro 9100 from my last truck (RIP) that I can use for more power points in the future. Would hate to let that go to waste.

Looks great. Money to be made here if somone wanted to build kits for others.
Interesting idea... might have to get with that amber grille light guy to see about a collaboration lol

Nice Job on that harness that looks way better than what Ford did!! This is how it should have been from the factory, or at least terminated with a dummy DT plug and allow us to buy the extension harness if we want it.

Looks 100x better than the bare wires Ford left us with. I get that not everything has DT connectors though, but still. This looks "finished"... Ford looks like, well, they just left us some bare wire. Nice job!
Thanks!

I wish i ran to menards to grab some 1 inch heat shrink for the bundle of 6 2 pin DT's instead of this cloth tape i had on hand...

Thanks. That would have too easy!

"What did I get texted to me is getting done to my truck today"

...taking apart the transmission to rebuild it. They found the bad drums. After a few bad dealers, this one has been great so far.

I'm just curious, what's the symptoms really like? Mine has an occasional clunky shift, but not all the time, and not anything worse than a novice driver learning a manual clutch and dropping it a bit abruptly.... I know it's hard to describe with words, but how bad was yours? And how frequent?

Glad they're making it right.

Nice to see a Dealer stepping up. Ford and the Dealers really need to take care of their customers. Happy for you.

At first it started with a slippage from 1 to 2 that was not that bad. Eventually the leak got worse (the 21 and 22 trucks have seals on the clutch packs that can leak, and it wasn't fixed until 23 - and Ford kept making trucks knowing that which is why they are getting sued).

When it got worse, it would slip in almost every gear, and it would be a 1-3 second slip. If I flooded it, it would go to 50-60 in first or second and then shift 6 gears at once 3-5 seconds later, like a total loss of the clutch if you had a manual. And when it did shift, it was a hard clunk. If I stopped hard, it would clunk down aggressively. Basically like having a clutch with 150k miles on it is what it felt like.

The regular clunking youre describing can be fixed with any of the tunes - my tranny was significantly better with the livernois tune. Ford says that's normal, but it's really an issue with their programming of the adaptive learning system.

Yeah mine definitely is not severe like that. I'll try the FORscan/adaptive relearn first for sure.

Thanks for the write up.

I was thinking about trying PlastiDip, and seeing how that works. May try it on my 2016 F150 on the badges to practice first.
I might just get a paint shop to paint the entire badge. I’m going for the black on black look.

I’m plastering my back tremor badge though. My truck is getting a full expel ppf wrap right now. Picking it up on Wednesday.

Added a crossbin under my diamond back cover to hold a couple Milwaukee PackOut bins. One has a full first aid kit and the other has roadside emergency equipment. Tire inflator, tire patch kit, tow straps, bungee cords etc are in the bigger case. Also mounted a fire extinguisher in the drivers side compartment. Put 2 mounting plates on the floor of the bin for the boxes to clip into, plus put 2 towards the tailgate to clip in additional PackOut boxes when I need them.

I also added a Ready Lift leveling kit last week, really improves the look of the truck.

My goal for this weekend was to get rid of the orange stripe on the grille. I know there’s probably a lot of people who like the orange accents on the exterior, but personally I am not a fan and this is my first step towards an orange-free exterior.
This took way longer than I was expecting but overall I’m pretty pleased with the results.

 that orange strip is actually what caught my eye on this truck, when I was walking through the Ford Dealership they had a line up of 40 plus F150's and only one Tremor on the Lot, I had never even heard of the Tremor until that day, I said to the salesman "what is that!" 👀 needless to say I now drive my first Ford F150 , but to each their own
