What's new

What made you decide to buy a Tremor?

Badlands with the Sasquatch package is a better deal imo. Disconnecting sway bar is worth its weight in gold.

I just deleted my sway bar altogether.
I have a badlands Sasquatch which I love but I don’t like that the swaybar reconnects when you get above 15-20.

That’s a safety feature, but if you’re offroad you aren’t going to need it on anyways. Should be easy enough to come to a stop.

I’m currently sourcing quick disconnecting end-links for my F150, and I’ll be happy to have those at all.

I would love to be able to try it at higher speeds especially after swapping the bilsteins out for the hoss fox 3.0’s which made the ride that much better. My truck has been without a swaybar for the last 4 months and it’s never going back.

Yeah, I’m sure there is a good reason though.

My wife HATES it. But I love it. Too bad, I win.

I'd like to see some more info on this sway bay delete or quick links....is there a thread about it already?

Still trying to find a way.

I’ve always wondered this with other Tremor owners so figured I’d ask here. I’m excited and curious to hear everyone’s thoughts.

For me, I have always had a Ford truck of some sort. I had an old F250 XLT extended cab in high school and most recently had a 2010 F150 Lariat crew cab for a long time that did me well. What attracted me to the tremor was the perfect mix of everyday driving and an aggressive looking truck without adding a whole bunch of modifications (even though I’m currently adding subtle ones lol) to make it look more aggressive. The tremor has a natural aggression to it without being straight “off road.” My 5.0 doesn’t get the best gas mileage but I feel it’s still a better ride everyday to and from work compared to say a Raptor without breaking the bank even though our trucks aren’t the cheapest either. I’ve been so happy with my purchase and get excited every time I start the engine!

Please tell me why you bought yours and why you are happy you did!
I have only had Ford trucks since I was 16 years old. My dad had them too.

The F150 Tremor is much less expensive than the 150 Raptor and more towing capacity (and bigger) than the Ranger Raptor. Nice, happy medium.

Always had sports cars, but decided I wanted a truck to take off road (and something with more than 2 seats). Locked in on Ford for their engine/transmission options over the competition.

I was looking at Raptors and placed a few orders for them around the Vegas area (orders would be sold for MSRP), but the orders never got built. The dealers were always happy to offer other Raptors that came in for MSRP+30k, which I wasn't willing to pay.

A few years of this, and I started looking around again for options. Found the tremor and discovered you could get the X-Plan price for it through work. Found a local dealer (Team Ford) who emailed me about one for 5k off MSRP. Headed over to look, and while they had it, they said that email was sent in error, and wouldn't honor the price, nor would they do the X-Plan price. Left. Found another local dealer (Gaudin) that would do the X-Plan on them that I was eligible for through work. Ordered a 402a through them, waited for it to be built (it took a while), it came in, paid, and out the door. Pretty easy transaction once you find the right dealer.

FWIW, X-Plan doesn't cover Raptors, and even Gaudin marks those up.

I've been pretty happy with the truck, and honestly a bit glad the Raptor orders fell through. That extra 6 inches of width would make parking more exciting, and the Tremor is barely short enough to fit in the parking garage at the office. I'm not sure the Raptor would have fit at all.

Whaddup other LV tremor!

Also raptors are a freaking dime a dozen around here. They're cool no doubt. But I get lots of comments and questions on my truck in the Smiths parking lot anyway.

I thought I would have BAD raptor envy but I really don't. Like I said tho, if Ford keeps downgrading tremor, I'll probably HAVE to go raptor. 21-23 tremor really is a sweet spot for actual use in the Backcountry here... Almost too wide for some trails already. Like you said, a DREAM on the highway as well.

I was an early reservation for a Badlands Bronco but the build date kept getting pushed out. I started shopping Raptors as a fully loaded Tremor early 22 was about the MSRP of the Rapror. I found a few dealers who were selling at MSRP but had nothing on hand. I joined MCA to get X Plan pricing and ordered my Tremor in Jan 22. It took 9.5 months for the truck to be built and delivered to the dealer with a final price of $67k on a $76k MSRP.

Short answer: Tming, availability, then pricing in that order. I am very pleased with my purchase and I see many more raptors on the road than Tremors, that's for sure. As a matter of fact I was having a cigar at a JR Outlet in Selma last week and went out to my truck to grab my laptop. Walked out to find three guys walking around my truck checking it out. I thought that was kinda cool.

I got my Tremor because my Raptor kept having issue after issue after it was attempted to be stolen, and needed a new truck asap. I dearly miss my Raptor but could get a Tremor for $30k less and that gave me $30k for mods so....Tremor it was

I've had Ford trucks since 1976 when I bought a '74 F-250 highboy. My first new vehicle was a '77 F-150 Flareside 4x4. After that there were several Broncos, Rangers and even a Sport Trac through the years. The truck previous to the '23 Tremor was an '18 F-150 XLT crewcab. It had the Special Edition and FX4 packages. I wanted something with more off-road capability but that could still haul and tow decent weights. I even considered a Ranger Raptor but that just wasn't all that versatile. The F-150 Tremor ended up being the best overall choice for my needs. Been dealing with several annoying electronic gremlins but so far I'm fairly happy with the choice.

I had five GMC Sierras, the last one was a lemon and just not that impressive. So, I went shopping for anything but a GMC/Chevy. The Tundra was good, but the new V6 turbo made me nervous, so I decided on Ford. I thought I would get an XLT until I drove the (2024) Tremor and decided it was a better value and more suited to my needs (back-country gravel/trails and hunting, minimal trailering).

I have been very pleased so far, despite a few minor quirks. My Chevy buddies are absolute Ford haters, but that's nonsense. The Tremor and F150s are excellent... if you actually try them!

Have had numerous Ford Trucks and have always gotten great service out of them. Started with a ‘78 F-150. After a couple of others, bought a ‘93 Lightning which was incredible. Family grew and needed something bigger.
Got a ‘13 150 Screw 4x4, but missed the performance of the Lightning.
Then got a ‘19 Raptor, the best of both worlds.
Then in retirement bought a Travel Trailer. While the unit was within towing specs of the Raptor, the suspension was just too soft for this type towing.
Picked up a ‘23 Tremor and it definitely does better towing. Has Raptorish qualities, with better towing abilities.
However, I will say that it’s not quite as fun to drive as the Raptor!
‘13 F-150, Raptor, and Tremor are/were 3.5 Ecoboosts.

Was looking for a 23 250 Lariat 6.7, or a 24 Bronco Wild track Lux, or a 24 150 Tremor 402a. Kinda funny all of these vehicles were priced within 2k of each other in a nationwide search.

I finally found a dealer that gave me a good price on my trade (2015 150 Lariat) and had the truck I wanted at the price I was willing to pay. It was a 6 month search and about 7 dealerships near me. I’ve custom ordered my last 3 vehicles but prices are so out of control these days it didn’t make sense to order one. My target was new 1 year old after the 25’s started hitting lots.

Really loved the 250 but the dealership wouldn’t budge on my trade and in reality I have no need for a 250.😏 like the Broncos but that is a bad purchase in my option. They are a dime a dozen and overpriced. For less money the Tremor was more versatile for my lifestyle.

I wanted a Lariat longbed, sport appearance package, heated steering wheel. This was a hard combo to find, and it would still need some work. Then I discover the Tremor, local dealer had two of them at $6,500 off MSRP placing it at a price point below the Lariat they had so I bought it - no aero dynamic plastic to remove, bigger tires and nicer wheels to keep for the first 40k miles or so, and some uniqueness.

Bronco Wildtrak is just too expensive for the few features it has compared to an F-150 Tremor.
Alas, the Wildtrak is no more. I had a deposit down on one at a dealership in 2022 but the order banks were closed and after 5 months I pulled the deposit and bought a 4Runner. Fast forward 2.5 years and I traded the 4Runner for almost as much as I paid for it and bought a Tremor. (Funny thing, the dealer has the 4Runner, a 2023 with 44k miles, listed for $2500 more than MSRP on it...)

Also, that is how I ended up with a Tremor. Before the 4Runner I had a 2015 302a XLT (5.0) and before that a 2011 301a XLT (5.0). I'd have taken the 3.5Ecoboost but was fine with the 5.0 again.
