Which Tires to get?

I now have 64K (Kilometers) on the OEM grabbers and up until now they were a great tire. I still have a fair amount of tread left but they are not good in the rain anymore. With moderate acceleration it breaks loose very easily and even though there is tread left I am debating on replacing them before the snow flies here. I hope Nitto makes there Terra Grappler G3 in a 295/70 18 SL rated tire soon. I Like the lighter weight and hopefully they would be good in the snow....

I believe those are 3 peak rated, no? Should be decent at the very least

You are correct and they were fantastic the last 2 winters so fingers crossed I can get one more winter out of them before there replaced. If General made a 295/70 18 size in the ATx I would go that route without hesitation as they have been fantastic up to this point.....

You are correct. The Terra Grapplers are 3P rated. If they had the size I wanted I would have them installed before winter for sure.;)

I just purchased my Tremor yesterday and replaced the factory General tires for 295-70-18 Toyo AT3 today . Took off factory tires with 25 miles. I put another 30 miles on today and rides perfect. It definitely helps fill up the fender well. I’ll update when I put more miles on them

If I were to get 9" wide wheels, should I get a smaller offset to avoid rubbing the inside of well?

Those are a great tire. I had them on my last truck and drove in the winter from Ontario to Goose Bay NL and back. They were fantastic in the snow. It was -35 when I was driving up there and the tires worked perfect. When I left for home after the trip was done there was 6-12 inches of snow on the road from Goose Bay to Lab City. The AT3's were amazing. The roads were NOT plowed and in fact I passed two plow dump trucks that were in the ditch. The ones I had were 35's and 10 ply so a bit heavy but wow the winter traction was great. You will love the AT3's

Are y'all noticing a considerable worse ride with E rated tires vs the Grabbers which are SL?

I can't give up my cushy ride....

Also any noticable diff with significantly heavier tires?
I changed the suspension when changing the tires so it’s hard to tell which is affecting the ride. That said, it’s still a good ride with the MT Baja Boss A/T tires. Load range D, though.

After driving these in the snow a bit, they do have decent grip. I haven’t pushed them very hard yet in the snow but they aren’t slipping everywhere so I’m happy with that.

This reply may be too late but you could always check the fitment with Custom Offsets. Not a sponsor, but they can help with the whole process and will ship right to your door.
