Stuff I've added to my Tremor

I went to install my fender vent and running board LEDs this evening and located my capped Aux wires next to the battery. With a multimeter, I tested the Violet/Green wire as load and my negative on the battery post- and got nothing (of course the switch was turned on). Tried again with the Blue/Orange and nothing still. Opened up my fuse box behind it and it's nearly empty.

Am I missing something? Shouldnt all the required relays be in place already?

There are two sets of wires, one of them has no power and just runs inside the cab so you could say connect led lights or something.

There is a second set of wires, that will show power when the uplifter switch and car are on.

Installed a couple Diode Dynamics led side lights, makes it easier for finding side roads

Deutsch crimper for 16AWG wiring/connectors

Next project will be installing a 50" light bar to the leading edge of my GFC camper.
I'll need to modify the light mounts, but nothing super tricky.

I'd REALLY like to get these mounted to the grill, below the main grill camera as we have inclement weather regularly and I'd like to have some low ambers to help out.

I have the 360 package and want to keep blue cruise working great, so i'm planning on mocking these up with cardboard boxes and mounting them to check if things work well.

I’ve been bouncing back and forth between those and their 3” pods.

I'm a newer customer (last year) and fan of Diode Dynamics. I've been impressed with a pair of their 3" pods - seem really well built, holding up well, and put out tons of light. I'll be buying more of their stuff for sure. Thanks for the post on the side lights - good idea.

Modifying light mounts so I can get a DD 50" light bar mounted on the front of my GFC camper.

I'm going caveman route of gluing and grinding aluminum as I don't cnc or other manufacturing skills.

I can't stand the visor warning messages, but I was concerned that they may not come off well...so I went with some ebay black stickers that work great.
They fit perfectly over my Tremors warning messages and now my eye isn't bugged!

Here's where I got them on ebay
I think this is the coolest mod for my truck short of the level.
Mine are on the way.
Good looking out mdax!

So for sure do not try and connect into the rear tail light for a campers brake light.
Not sure if it was because I have LED tail lights but I got all sorts of errors, temporarily had tail light malfunction...

The closest information i can find that seems accurate is a ARE installers sheet that indicates for 2021 F150's with LED lights to use a yellow/grey wire in the "Passenger side step plate".

I have no idea where that step plate is, nor where that wire bundle is...but I'm on the hunt.

Chasing down info on a brake light wire in the drivers front side of engine bay...but got my relays all wired up and ready for switch 1 and 2.
Switch 1 only supports 5amps or so, and I want to run amber fog lights on it. Running the 50" light bar on switch 2, it needs 18amps...so they both get relays with fuses.

I'm a big lover of deutsche connectors so I can switch uplifters, maintain and replace components easily...and they're super effective for electrical connections in cars.

Wired up the upper brake light on my GFC camper.
Ford was no cool about making this easy.

Thanks to a guy on the facebook f150 group I was able to find this...if not for his pics I'd have never managed to find this wire.

For LED based lights you can't go into the light itself.
I hooked into a wire specifically for this purpose,

It is located under the hood, drivers side, toward the front, it's hard as hell to find, directly under the bolt for the air intake.
It's like Ford tried to make it as hard to find as possible.
It's not inside the bundle, it's wound to one side, keep hunting....

Tail.Light1.jpg

I took off the air intake cover, only way I could find the wire.
It was taped onto that wire bundle, DIRECTLY below the bolt.

Tail.Light2.jpg

Showing the wire pulled the opposite direction toward driver.
It is not oriented like this when you find it, it will be hidden and on the wire bundle towards the front of the truck.

It will only light up when the truck is turned on and brakes are applied.

I agree, once you take the time to learn how to build the plugs it's the only way to go.

Watching some of these up fitter installs, I think I will go with a Switch-Pro. It's 2022, who wants relays and fuses?

Does anyone know where the passthrough wires terminate in the cab? Could ford make these wires any shorter? My hand is all bloody after installing ditch lights yesterday squeezing it between the truck and battery..

Yep, that's why I removed the battery and tray and started with putting deutsche connectors on them.
There was basically no room and I didn't have a choice, no way I could have got them done manipulating in that space!

passenger kickplate

I really don't like a lot of clanking and noise so I've tried a few different mounts for my fire extinguisher.
I finally found one that works great.

It's super easy to deploy, doesn't make a sound and mounted with just a little modification to my molle panels.

Extinguisher
That is perfect. Exactly what I've been looking for! Thank you.
