F150 Tremor FORScan

Dont think I read this one in the thread-

Is there a way to disable the double honk when truck is turned off & key is left inside the cab?
I do not know for sure on this one, but try this from the common sheet.

Disable key-in ignition chimeIPC720-02-01xx*xxxxxxx--subtract 8 from current value (if E change to 6)

This appears to have worked getting rid of the double honk if key is left in truck w/ engine off

I'm still flummoxed with adjusting for tire size. I'm now running 295/70/18. Will someone please help me with the value changes I need to make.

Thank you,

utterly bewildered, confused, or puzzled:

I easily did the forscan tire adjustment, but I had no clue that word existed. Were even.

The spread sheet tells you how to do it and does the math for you. I don't think anyone can explain it better than he did. Click on the Spart's tire size calculator in the spread sheet. I chose the GPS truing as many tire companies are not true to size. I got mine within 0.5 MPH going from stock to 37's. If you trust your tire size, just enter the values and it spits out the line of code. I would make sure you save your as-built before and only make this one change during your ForScan session.

I think i've successfully turned on Glare Free, but i'm hoping someone can confirm a couple things for me?

  1. I tested at night on a dark road and my high beams turned on, but the indicator light for high beams did not turn on (the light above the 2 green auto running light icons). Should the high beam indicator turn on similar to auto high beams, or does it stay off with Glare Free?
  2. It's anecdotal, but it didn't feel like my high beams tracked any vehicles or stayed partially on when driving past another car. It just felt like they turned on when sensing no other cars and off when seeing another car. Is there a video or a way to see a real-life example of the headlights tracking and dimming for an oncoming car?
I don't have any DTCs and I do have the glare free menu enabled, so I thought I had everything turned on correctly in Forscan, but want to make sure i'm not unknowingly blinding other drivers or running with some odd headlight setup. Any insight you all have on how to easily confirm that Glare Free is working is appreciated.

Edit: Also wanted to add that my headlight tracking/turning is still working as expected. I read earlier that some users had an issue where headlight turning stopped working.

When glare Free is working have lights on auto and all you should have is the two green lights. Another member told me, and mine is working just fine.

Well today I did the US DRL mod on my Canadian Tremor and I love it so far.

One of the features with Glare Free lighting is that there isn't a sudden change in the brightness, which allows your eyes to adjust to the light intensity changes quicker. It also doesn't work if you are going less than 32mph. I took a few screen pics of the Glare Free Owner Guide pages to help as well.

I have a new one for the crew:

Auto Heated and Cooled seats.

This will adjust the heating and cooling of the seats automatically based on internal truck temp and selected climate control temp. You retain the ability to manually control via the buttons. You also get a on center screen indicator of you selection and whether you are in auto mode or not.

You need auto climate control and heated / cooled seats for this to work. I have only tested on my 402A.

Note: I just sorted this mod out tonight and did some brief testing. Everything seems to work well, but I haven't completed long-term testing, your mileage may vary. It works well.

Preform a module reset via the wrench icon on the APIM after writing both changes.

Worked great! Is there one like this (auto) for the heated steering wheel?

My heated wheel seems to come on whenever my auto heated seats come on. I’m not 100% but it seems to be connected.
Mine only the seats come on. I’ve never seen the light for the heated wheel come on automatically

My autoseats are on. I’ll start the truck remotely all 3 will be on when I enter (its cold here). As I drive and things warm up my seats will eventually turn off but the heated wheel will remain on. Ill manually have to turn off the heated wheel. It never goes off on its own. No matter the temp.

Sounds exactly how mine works

With no forscan mod my seats either heat or cool already when I remote start. What's does this mod do differently?

Your seats will stay on until you turn them off. This sets them to auto. They will turn off automatically (or lower) as the temp rises.

I was able to find this for the heated steering wheel. Temps and timers but no auto.

I didnt even realize the truck honked for this. One of the first things I did though was a list of Forscan changes, so maybe I disabled this one then.

I would like to have the vehicle beep like my wife's Aviator instead of the honk in the Tremor. Anyone know what the coding change would need to be to have the Lincoln beep instead of the Ford honk?
