What's new

F150 Tremor FORScan

Just did it today. Wow what a great option. It should come standard.
Does it change the setting on your screen from auto highbeam to glare free in your settings. Mine still had auto high beams setting on display screen

Changed it to glare free only. I had to do an apim reset ( the wrench tool ) or overnight shut off it should reset.

Thanks for the reply. see what happens in the morning. I really appreciate the advice.

I have a new one for the crew:

Auto Heated and Cooled seats.

This will adjust the heating and cooling of the seats automatically based on internal truck temp and selected climate control temp. You retain the ability to manually control via the buttons. You also get a on center screen indicator of you selection and whether you are in auto mode or not.

You need auto climate control and heated / cooled seats for this to work. I have only tested on my 402A.

Note: I just sorted this mod out tonight and did some brief testing. Everything seems to work well, but I haven't completed long-term testing, your mileage may vary. It works well.

HVAC

APIM
7D0-02-02 1xxx xxxx xx

Preform a module reset via the wrench icon on the APIM after writing both changes.

Looking for some help on this one. I did the change but don't like how it got rid of my on screen temperatures. Unfortunately, I did not note the default values. I would like to change it back. Can someone help me?

After the changes you should have a Glare Free toggle under the lighting settings on the center screen.

The headlight switch needs to be in auto. You should see a green headlight indicator with an A, indicating the system is active.

The system uses the camera, so if you are driving in bright city environment you are not going to see it activating.
so if my indicator lights look just like yours I’m good to go. Leave highbeam lights off.

Try APIM 7D0-02-02 5xxx xxxx xx- -

That should get your temps back and auto seats.

Do a reset on the APIM after the change

Correct. Green indicator w/ A the system is ”armed” everything will happen automatically

Worked like charm. Thank you for the help. Does a reset consist of hitting the wrench icon?

Yes wrench icon > APIM Reset. The APIM tends to need to be reset at least once before it displays changes and it takes an extended period of inactivity for it to power down naturally. The forscan reset speeds that process up.

I apologize for beating this to death but just want to make sure I understand. I hit the wrench and a long list appeared. One line said APIM reset. It didn't allow me to do anything further. Is that all I had to do? Everything appears to be working.

No worries. Click on that line, then click the “play” button down at the lower left hand side.

I did the Glare Free stuff. I've read through and searched for the codes I'm getting to no avail. I am also getting the "Check Headlamp System" warning when I start the truck (I checked to make sure the 734-01-04 xx53 4E - - setting was selected) .

Forscan shows these DTC codes:
HCM Code: U2101 - Control Module Configuration Incompatible
&
IPMA Code: U0253 - Lost Communication With Accessory Protocol Interface Module

Everytime I tried to run the IPMA Module Configuration (AS BUILT format) I got: Service Procedure has been interrupted. To circumvent this I used the non-AS BUILT version and changed the Headlight Beam Configuration to Glare-free High Beam.

Will these DTC codes and instrument cluster pop-up go away overnight like some things or did I do something wrong?

I had same issue trying to access the IPMA module with my old usb adapter. Bought the new version that the forscan site recommends and it works now .

In the back of my mind I was wondering if that was a possibility. Ordered the new one. Thanks for the tip!

Will I be able to go in and edit the IPMA module or do I need to go back through the sequence or something?

Should be able to, but I stopped once the module wouldn't load and waited for my new adapter to arrive.

Is there a way to lower the threshold as to when the auto high beam switches from low to high? The auto high beam switches from low to high after I reach 33 MPH. That is much too fast. I'd like it to switch around 20 MPH.
Thanks in advance.

switch to glare free then you don't ever have to worry about that

Edit: you also have to be above 32mph for this to operate sorry. It's still an improvement over the autos.
