What's new

F150 Tremor FORScan

Adaptive Headlamps have been in the US on the Projector LEDs from the beginning.

What is being referenced as needing to be unlocked for US trucks in FORscan is GlareFree Headlights. This feature was not available in US trucks as it was illegal, but it did ship with Canadian (and other) trucks

GlareFree Headlights is the feature where it moves the lights out of the way of an oncoming car, but does not dim them from high. This feature is called Glare Free

Two different names for two different features.
I just enabled the Glare free lightning with Forscan but my adaptive headlamps selector went away from the settings/menu? Update… Drove it and the lights to “bend” when turning. Another thing I’ve noticed is my light icon with the A always stays white, even on a dark road with no street, buisiness, house, or other vehicle lights… Isn’t turning green. Rechecked all the values and everything is correct.

Will those work for the 2023's ?
Yes, I just did all the changes to my '23. Only problem I ran into if you read the previous pages the original forscan version could not read MY23 because it's too new. It acted like it had a custom tune and it need the PCM number. I downloaded the beta version 2.4.7 and it was able to connect to my truck.

Are you positive you had that toggle before the change? I have not seen any with that factory in recent memory

The white icon w/ A means ether the change in the IPC did not take or you need to do a module reset to get it to appear. It should be a green with A anytime you are in the auto position.

Can you delete all seatbelt chimes through Forscan?
Yes

Honestly I don’t remember. I did see a screen shot where it showed both the selector for glare free and the selector for adaptive headlamps.

I only have the white icon w/ A. I have checked all the modules changes and they are all correct. What module would need to be reset besides the APIM?

I’d be willing to bet that screen shot was from someone enabling extra menus in forscan testing things. The changes for glare free wouldn’t make it disappear. That toggle is enabled elsewhere, but does not come enabled OEM. It’s also useless for what it’s worth, but if you would really like to see it I can help you with that.

The white Icon is controlled by the IPC settings. Double check these closely:

IPC
720-01-01 xx8x xxxx xx- -
720-10-01 xxxx xxx3 xx- -

If they are correct you can try a IPC module reset under wrench icon in forscan. When correct the icon is green.

my guess is 720-10-01 is still set at: xxxx xxx1(OEM) xx- -

I can confirm they icon should be green. I just did mine and I get the A lit in green. My menu removed the auto high beams and replaced it with the glare free option.

Thanks for all your knowledge and help Robb1. I will double check and make sure everything is correct.

Sure enough I over looked 720-10-01. I instead changed that in 720-01-01. I corrected it and it’s working fine. No need to look further into the adaptive headlamps. I just wanted to make sure I did things correctly and when I did not have that on my menu I wanted to make sure I didn’t mess up . First time using Forscan. Thanks again Robb1.

thanks for the confirmation. With Robb1 guidance the issue is corrected and is now working.

Did anyone notice the warning tones for the park aid sensors change with enabling glare free headlights?

Made the change for glare free yesterday (only other change made was the splash screen), drove the family to dinner, glare free headlights worked great, but everyone said 'Whoa' at the same time when I backed in to a parking space and the park aid sensors started blaring.

This thread is awesome - huge thanks to everyone involved

Normally the tones come through the audio system, but there is a built in speaker in the IPC as well as a backup. When the module resets after the change it causes it to temporarily go into backup mode and use that internal speaker.

It will go back to normal after the truck sits overnight.

Interesting, thanks!

Found this on f150gen14.com forum.
Here is the thread for reference:

Activate cameras when object detected. Works on my truck now as it is a '22 with active park assist removal. Pretty neat, it turns on your 360 cameras when you are parking and it senses something in front of you vs just beeping and having to manually press the camera button.
