F150 Tremor FORScan

Any FORScan experts have an idea what I did wrong? I recalibrated my speedo and its only .5 MPH off. Super happy with that. Did the double honk, digital readout under the gauges and Bambi Mode. Tried to increase the DRL brightness and it would not take. Now I have an airbag light on the dash and the parking lights will not come on when auto starting, With the app or key fob no lights. coincidence or did I mess it up? Thanks.

Did you do all of these changes in one session? or did you do the DRL mod at a later date?

Which specific DRL change did you try 726-42-01 or 726-38-01?

If you can take a screenshot of your current BCM values I would be happy to take a look. Even better is if you save a backup file for the BCM and send it to me. I can run a comparison using the file to look for anomalies.

Page not found, tried your link plus a google search and same results.

Further search I believe I found it. Since this is a beta what exactly should I avoid doing? All I plan to do is connect to the vehicle and make some basic changes. Bambi mode, double honk, glare free etc. I've watched some youtube tutorials will this beta version act the same? Thanks.

Sorry about that. Here is a different link that works: https://forscan.org/download/FORScanSetup2.4.7.test20221217.exe

As far as as-built changes it works and looks exactly the same. Just follow the the instructions for as-built changes and you will have no trouble. Beta includes the ability to update firmware (software) in modules. When you go to the “configuration and programming“ tab you will see selections for updating module firmware, just avoid trying those (It’s tempting for some people, but very risky). It’s a deliberate action to run those procedures and select a firmware then load, so you do not have to worry about it happening accidentally.

Awesome thanks for the help. Just gave it a try and it worked perfect. I do see the firmware selections which I avoided.

My changes have been going good for the most part with a couple exceptions. Double horn honk disable, bambi mode, digital temps all confirmed to work. Then I tried glare free but i'm not getting the option to select on my lighting menu. I changed the first couple options and then checked.. Glare Free option didn't pop up so I continued with the rest of the modules with the power cycles etc and still I can only see my auto high beam option. No errors or check lights but I found it odd because everything else worked easy. My last change was the door chime disable with ignition on and I tested it and it still chimes. Kind of confusing since I took my time and made sure everything was changed exactly to what the spread sheet values showed.
Menu after making Glare Free changes. Note: I have a 402A

This menu or alert seems new now too, know what this could be?

Go to the gear icon and do a APIM reset and the menu should appear. It takes one or two full resets for the APIM menu changes to appear.

The warning tends to appear periodically after some modules reset. It not new, but it reappears after some modules changes happen. Same thing occurs after some FDRS software updates.

The chime generator should reset after the truck sits power off for a period.

Sorry I’m a little late to the party. This is happing because Forscan hasn’t loaded all of the possible module configurations for the ‘23 yet. It takes them a little while to catch up as users submit logs for new models / software versions.

Try this beta release which has been reported as working on ‘23s. Just don’t mess with the firmware / software update functionality that is included in beta, bad things can happen.

Yep. This happened to me when I tried forscan 2 days after taking delivery. The fix for me was to use the newest forscan beta

After sitting all night the glare free now shows up. I still get the vehicle settings message. Will that eventually go away or can I do something to help.

Great. sitting overnight accomplishes the same thing as a reset using forscan. The APIM is one of the last modules to power down.

As far as the message I believe if you go into the connectivity settings menu it will stop showing up. That sort of acknowledges the message. Click this symbol on the upper part of the screen.

Amazing help thank you. This is the last thing I need a little clarification on: DRL full bright with headlights, since a lot of people experience flickering I've seen the fix to bump it down to 60% or less. Do I need to enable the full bright DRL first then change the brightness percentage or can I skip the first step and go straight to the latter?

I went straight to the brightness level I wanted(50%)

You do one or the other.

To disable the door ajar chime should I be entering a Zero for this value. Spreadsheet confuses me a little.

You actually want this line / digit:

720-01-02xx*xxx--

What you want to disable is EIOCM. The way to use the spreadsheet is find your current (OEM) value, make note of the other features enabled or disable or configuration , then find the new value that keeps everything else the same, but disables EIOCM.

I’m sorry if I’m late to the party on this one but is there a mod to change your C bar DRL to amber? OR is there a mod to change the turn signal (horizontal) to brighter when parking lights are on? I have a 402A

The C bar you would need to install Raptor or aftermarket headlights to get amber.

I took a quick look and there doesn’t appear to be any intensity adjustments for the marker lights. Just enabled or disabled.

Worked like a charm, changed that digit from a 2 to a zero. Also set my DRLs to 50% with no flickering.

Does anyone have a cheat sheet for the top 5 changes (Values) in Forscan as I do not have an extra laptop...The shop doing my Level said he would do the Forscan if I got him the Values (DRL Brightness/Bambi/Chimes etc.)....2023 401A Group...Thanks in advance,,,,
