What's new

F150 Tremor FORScan

Yes, same forscan version and OBDLink EX FORScan OBD Adapter
Got it to work! I posted in f150forum.com and someone suggested that our version of sync is too new for the current version of forscan. He suggested I downliad the newest beta version and it worked. I now have glare free headlights.

Nice! I have an older obdII adapter and can't even open some of the modules with forscan. Have to wait for my new adapter to show up so I too can have glare free lighting (one of the reasons i went with the 402a haha).

I have it activated but tonight when I went out I was definitely straight up high beaming ppl. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. Start the truck, headlights in auto. Push stalk forward and it just blinds everyone

Shkuld turn on brights when ambient light is low and then split the beam when it detects a car.
leave the stalk in original location. I beleive it turns on brights when no street lights are around and then will split the beam when it detects a car.

Click the stalk until you have green headlight indicator with a A on the lower left of the instrument panel. Then don’t touch the stalk. Everything is automatic. The headlight switch must also be in the auto position. If you are seeing a Blue high beam indicator you are in manual high beams.

Edit to add: Auto with the green A should be the default when you start.

ok great i'll try that. I was pushing the stalk forward like the old high beam. I'll try leaving it in the green w/ A mode and see what it does. Thanks

any way to disable the orange marker lights in the headlights? I don't particularly care for the look during the day when the normal C shaped DRLs are lit...

Have you done the DRL includes parking light mod? Stock, during the day, you should only have the C DRLs lit on a US truck.

I haven't done any mods in forscan other that the glare free. DRL's are just the white C leds and not fog lights right? What is the DRL includes parking light? I just want the orage light off all together

Ok maybe I misunderstood your request. I thought you were saying the orange center strip in the headlamp was lit during the day.

DRLs are the C shape, white outer led strips around the headlamp. DRL with parking lights (forscan mod) makes the parking light turn on anytime the DRLs are on during the day. This would include the orange center position strip and the outer tail light.

If you want the headlamp orange position strip disabled try the following:
BCM 726-42-02 xxxx xx00 00 - -

Ok so with light switch in A, the DRLs are on without the orange light? At night when the headlights come on the orange strip is on? This is the default?

I'd like to turn it off all together so I might try that code. Thanks

Yes you are correct. That is the default operation.

Any recommendations for an inexpensive laptop or tablet that could be used for Forscan. Would only be using it for that purpose. Also latest obd II adapter cable. Thanks

I checked and there is a new version out as of 22-DEC-22 (2.3.50 windows). I do not see a beta version so I guess I will try this new version.

Pretty much any windows based laptop will do the trick. It’s not a hardware intensive program. I’d grab whatever is cheapest if forscan is your only use.

Try the new version first. It should include the updates that were in beta at the time of release and is safer for the novice user.

If you still have trouble the beta link is below. DO NOT try any of the firmware or other advanced functions in beta. You can very easily break something permanently.
