Going to be up at lake lanier in GA for a week June 15 to 22. Probably going to take a day and hit some trails within a few hours drive, I try to enjoy the terrain whenever I'm outside FL.

Any interest in doing a group ride? I know a lot of you guys stay in that general area or near it. I'll have my drone with me too, we could get some good footage and pictures.
 
I’m in Knoxville and would like to get together.
If we could get a group together that would be even better.
I know of a couple trails in the Hiawassee GA area that we could hit.

Hell yeah! That's only like 90 minutes from where I'm staying on the lake.

That makes two of us. Any other takers?
 
I’m local and always up for a trail ride. Excellent places to visit in Hiawassee or near Dahlonega.
 
Alright great, counts up to 4!

Because I'm coming in on the weekend, mid week is better for me but I understand it may not be for you guys. Is something like a Wednesdaythr 19th an option? If not I could probably come in a day earlier and grab a hotel near the area, and we go on Saturday the 15th.
 
Right now I’m completely open so week day or weekend doesn’t matter.
Once we get an idea of where everyone is coming from we can figure out a meet up spot the morning of the ride.
 
Mid-week would be harder but not out of the question with my schedule but Saturday would be more ideal.
 
Taking 95 all the way up?
 
There is a great little trail just outside of Hiawassee closer to Helen that takes anywhere from half an hour to an hour to ride. There also happens to be a great brewery about 20 mins away from the trail head if anyone is into those.

Similar situation with the Dahlonega area.
 
There’s also Beasley Knob OHV. Some decent to difficult trails though, last time I was there was with my H1 about 12 years ago. LOL

Agreed. Such a great place to really test your cardio and winch. At least that was how my last visit went. I couldn’t imagine taking a full-size down some of those trails.

Sounds good. There are some nice forest service roads up around Clayton in the Warwoman Wildlife Management Area that I go to in the Jeep - time to take the Tremor up as well. Beasley Knob is more than I'm up for though. I'll stick to FS roads in a full-size truck with no real skid plates or sliders to speak of.
 
Yeah Beasley can be a handful for sure.
I was just looking on OnX and saw some trails in the Clayton area I didn’t know about.
As we get closer we can firm up times, and where to meet up. I was thinking the Ingles in Clayton so we can all fill up on fuel and snacks. Plus there is a Chic Fil A across the street for breakfast. But I’m open to whatever would be convenient for everyone.
 
hey, maybe i can work this into a trip to NC. been needing to take the wife for a longer stay so we can house/land hunt properly for our eventual move.

i'll try and stay in the loop on the plans.

Sounds good. I'll have a couple of friends and my wife with me since we are spending a week on the lake with others, would prefer something on the 3-5 scale out of 10 in terms of difficulty. Want to get dirtier than a service road but don't want to be dealing with too much with heads in the truck and luggage in the bed.
 
Upper Hightower Road would fit the bill nicely. It’s right off 76 and has a few water crossings, some rocky sections and nice scenery. It’s probably a 2 to 2.5 hr trail. I can see if I can dig up some old pictures of the trial.
