Leveling Kit

How does the 6in kit look and feel? Did you go with 35s or 37s?
BDS is currently back ordered 12-16 weeks on the Fox coil overs. So as of now it's just on the puck. It rides and drives great for a big truck. Bluecruise and all cameras seem to work just fine. It is a little spongy in the front so the coilover will fix that when they show up. It's on 37's

Didnt realize we had so many SLC members on here.

@hadlow123 For work we use LHM and KG, and I have to say I prefer KG, but it could be way different on the fleet side than the retail. I mean, it varies between dealerships that are under the same parent company. The Ram KG dealer that shares a parking lot with the Ford KG one is awful, and has a door labor rate that is almost $50 more per hour. If you want to travel N a bit Performance out of Bountiful has been good, and I have always had good service from the Young group.

I could see both the LHM and KG shops only doing a kit that they sell. For strictly installing a kit I would look at 4WP or Les Schwab if either of these dealers wont.
Awesome! I am up in Davis County and appreciate the insight. Once I land on place and details, I will share in the group along with a pictures of how everything turned out. Thanks again!

Time to compile a list of these and opinions on how they ride, work, etc both on road and off road. I know several went with the RC kit, many have done the AS, others have gone different routes, most that have done the RC kit haven't made any comments as of late. Now that they've had it for a bit an update on them would be good, same for some of the others out there. Feedback on your different kits and thoughts would be great. Help others make a better informed decision.

Damn that looks nice. Did they have to do any trimming to get the 37s to fit?

Did you take any before and after measurements? I'm wo dering what the actual lift on the 6in is on a tremor. Also how big a difference the 4in bds lift would make over stock with a level.

Great idea. It should be posted to the first post of this thread as well. I've been thinking about that for a bunch of these threads that have great info. Once we get enough to come to some sort of conclusion, we need to post the results on the first post of the thread.

Crash bars are cut and the fabric in the front is cut. Also a little trimming of the front bumper. I now have zero rub unless at full stuff. It has a 10” wide -25 wheel. TC customs has a wheel fitment with no trimming. I think it is a positive 20 on a 9” wheel. The Toyo’s are also 13.50 wide with the offset makes it worse.

As of lift height It raised the front almost 7” and the rear 3”. I am running the stock Tremor strut and the puck. This kinda surprised me. The truck is brand new with less than 200 miles on it so the springs may settle down in the front. But once I install the coil overs i will loose an inch of lift due to taking the Tremor strut being taken out. BDS lets you pick a 4” rear block that kinda sags a little to level or a 5“ block that give you 1-2” of rake. I picked the 5” block. And currently have 1/4” of rake. Front center of hub to fender is 30” and the rear is 30.25”. So once the coil over show up it will have the rake BDS claims. So if you run the puck i would expect the full lift and maybe a little. If you run the coilover the 4” would be 3” and the 6” would be a 5”. I was going to go with the RC Tremor 4” because it claims 100% bolt on. I downloaded the install instructions and it show cutting the frame just like every other kit. Called them and no one knew what I was talking about or even cared. So that put a bad taste in my mouth as seeing how much lighter duty the RC stuff is when compared to the BDS. Plus looking at everyone CV angles. Their not good and the only fix is RCV’s or diff drop. So i kinda got exited and went all in. It’s a little to big to be practical and I regret not going 4” and 35’s just to make the truck more user friendly. But I have only had it a week and have had at least 20 people stop and talk to me about it or complement me on it. Today at Chipotle two hot chicks told me it was “ gorgeous “ and it keeps making me tell myself I made a good decision.😇

Have they made rear shocks yet that match these for the tremor?
No sir they haven’t. I called in and ordered this kit and I asked them if the rears would be coming out soon and he lead me to believe that it was going to be quite some time before they released the rears and they seemed to be fairly low priority. That being said, this is the same person that two weeks ago told me it would be two or three months before they had any front end leveling system available so who knows what to believe.

@Fozzy Thanks for the info!

I'm considering getting the 4in. BDS kit but don't want to have to get new wheels and tires on top of the price of the kit lol. Will the stock wheels work with it? Think the 33s would look too wimpy?

No, most diff drop kits have large knuckles that relocate the steering. They hit smaller wheels. BDS recommends 18x9 with 4.5-5.5" back spacing or -13 to +13 offset and test fit before install as some 18's are manufactured different and may cause rubbing. The stock wheels are 18x7.5 +34 offset. 20's will fit, that's why you see everyone running 20's or bigger with diff drops. RC recommends a 20"x9 with a 5.24 back spacing or +6 off set to clear their knuckles. If you go BDS you have to go all in and remember you do have to cut your frame and its permanent.

Looks like an upgrade I'll have to put off for about a year then.

My trucks rake looks minimal to me. I have dealer bed liner that looks awfully thick, ford retractable tonneau with the Yakima Hd rack. Not sure that’s hardly enough weight to settle it a bit. I have the tow package that has the factory installed brake control and pro trailer backup control.

Do you have the optional trailer tow package? Could be a reason you have less rake. 🤷‍♀️

I have the tow package that came standard with 402A.

The Class IV Trailer Hitch and Tow Technology Package come standard with the 402A, but the Trailer Tow Package is optional. If you do not have this, it would explain why the rake on your Tremor isn’t as noticeable.

Has anyone actually confirmed if there is a difference in hight in the rear yet? I was supposed to get the tow package on mine, but it didn't show up on my window sticker when it finally populated. All the materials I could find just show the only difference being tow tech doesn't include the hitch and wiring but those come standard on Tremors. Someone found something that mentioned a bigger trans oil cooler but don't think we ever got confirmation on that. Haven't seen anyone post differences in the stance of the rear of one with and one without.

Today I leveled my Tremor. My driveway has a slight slope and will try for a more level surface, but loved the way it turned out. I used Burt Brothers here in the Salt Lake City area and they used a 2.5” level from Ready Lift. The shop told me the level ended up being just shy of 2.75” and almost leveled the truck. Everything looks pretty slick.

The third picture shows the rake prior to the level.
