2022 Tremor Changes (ex: Wireless Charger, HVAC Knobs, etc.)

Another 2022 Tremor walk-around video. This one doesn’t have the knobs or cup holder lighting either. It also doesn’t appear to have a light in the center console. Do the 2021s have this?

Yep, and it looks like all ambient lighting has been removed too :(

Kind of ridiculous on a 70k truck to not have any ambient lighting. Ford should offer to replace it to be honest, or provide a credit at the very least.

Looked like it was there on the doors, maybe just not on the cup holders.
Looked at the video some more, and it might still be there. There was a period when he was driving back to the dealership where his camera glanced at the floor and it looked like it was dark, but when opening the doors in the beginning of the video, it does still seem to have it. Sorry to misled anyone.

I hope it’s just a setting that is off or something on that video .

Too late, I've already lit my torch, gathered the mob, grabbed the pitch forks, and the march towards Ford HQ has begun!!

Jk... but seriously kind of upset.

It looks like the light is also missing in the center box area where the new wireless phone charger is. That was pretty noticeable and bright lighting for 21s. So annoyed…

I will take wireless charging over console accent lighting any day! If this is indeed the exchange we're getting..

2022 Lariat walkaround showing same lack of features for 2022 Tremor.

Agree on the credit if the ambient lighting is indeed gone out of the cup holders. Still hoping the ambient lights are still in the cupholders

Does anyone have a 2022 Tremor Delivered yet to verify the cupholder ambient lights / phone charger ambient light and Glove Box Light are not actually there?

I saw some comments on a 2021 that they had the ambient lights brightness turned all the way down, which turned the ambient lights off when the doors are closed. The remedy was to turn the brightness up in the SYNC 4 settings for ambient lights, then increase brightness with the dash light brightness control to seem them. 🤞 Here's to hoping that's the case, can anyone with a 2022 test this?

Just picked up my 2022 402A tonight and I can confirm: No ambient lights in the cupholders, phone console, or glovebox. There are ambient lights in the doors and footwells, but you'll need to go into the settings and turn up the brightness for these.

2022 Tremor changes that I can confirm:
- Lead Foot and Velocity Blue removed from paint options
- Atlas Blue added to the paint options
- Wireless Charger added
- Ambient Lighting removed from Cupholders, Forward Phone Console, and Glove Box
- Rear License Plate Light Bulbs are Incandescent. These were LED in 2021.
- Digital Temp removed from HVAC knobs
- Top of 12" screen now has a bar that displays the time, outside temp, and HVAC temp
- Air vents on right/left side of dash do not have open/close doors, but vents can be closed with the louvers.

Some of these changes are disappointing, but I'm super excited about this truck. So far, it is everything I hoped it would be. I drove it home in the dark and while I'd prefer to have it, I really don't think I'll miss the console ambient lighting. I'm just glad the footwell lighting and door lighting is still there. Also, the HVAC temp display in the screen is easy to read and will be sufficient. Just my two cents.

The non LED license plate light is actually really annoying, I'll probably change that myself.

Did you push back on these now missing items for 2022 with your dealer? As in getting a discount for these items that were just removed and we were not told.

Agree, obviously we'll all live @FTLBS and we'll all have to process the anger, denial, depression, and acceptance. Thank you for helping because some of us still feel like Ray Charles' Mom at his first eye appointment.

I did not push back on these items. I already had to fight to get them to apply the personal rebate offer I had, so I wasn't in the mood to bring up the ambient lighting. And as mentioned, I really don't think I'll miss these items. Overall, I'm very happy with the truck and can't stop smiling.

Are the rear seats still heated on the 402A Tremor? I see the heated seats in the Lariat video but not the Tremor video

Took a screenshot, looks like it does have the heated seat buttons.

Yes, the 2022 402A package has the rear heated seats.
