DEAL 3% Under Invoice on any F-150 Tremor Order

How does the taxes work? Do I pay them in my home state when I do the permanent registration? Wondering how to avoid the credit card fee at the tag agency for the $4k bill in FL,but you don't know the exact cost ahead of time so I can't get a cashiers check. I'd have to go, find out, get a check, and come back. What a hassle 🤦‍♂️

Yeah you pay when you register. Can you not call them ahead of time with the bill of sale and get an exact amount?

I can't pump my own gas, but at least there is no sales tax in Oregon. :sneaky:

Just take the total on the dealership bill of sale and apply the tax percentage to get your total.

I personally don't think it saves you much MPG, and it causes more problems than it's worth. It also speeds up your build by deleting it, supposedly. As far as just personal choice, I don't like the way it feels either.
I disabled it on my ‘17 Lariat but I don’t mind it on my Tremor and it didn’t slow down production. Can you give some details of what problems it causes?

Yes, you're responsible for taxes in your home state upon your return.

Strongly considering a move to Bend when my lease is up in Seattle. An immediate $6.5-7K windfall would be nice :D

Don't worry they'll get you in '23 with the that sweet state income tax...

Sure, but that'll be spread out over the course of the year + I'll still have lower housing and food costs. I'm paying $14 for a damn burrito now in Seattle, before tip xD

haha. Yeah, plus Bend is nice. We spend alot of time down there.

@zach@granger Hate to keep bugging you but still no VIN for order A084?

Were any Granger buyers able to get a temp tag from their state tag agency with just the purchase agreement? Title doesn't come in for 2 weeks, I wasn't able to go today because of the holiday but I'm going in tomorrow after work with the purchase agreement to try and get a FL temp tag. I don't think the Iowa "in transit" paper is legal to drive here in FL and I'm not looking forward to getting pulled over with these Miami cops.

Just a reminder, I really do want to hear what problems it causes. I’m willing to disable it if it’s an issue but so far I’ve heard zip about issues.

Seems obvious. Starting is the hard on engines. Doing it over and over and over every time you stop at a light or in traffic. Just common sense right?

Maybe. That has been a concern but I have yet to see a single person say they had that issue. I will disable mine if I’m convinced there is a problem but I’m not interested in what might seem like common sense. Cranbery indicated there were problems and I want to know if he is talking about “common sense” too, or he knows of actual incidents.

Common sense. It comes with an upgraded starter due to the stress on the starter, so that right there tells you. I've also seen the MPG averages with and without it, and from what I can tell it doesn't save you anything. Keep it if you want it 🤷‍♂️

I have it. I think it works pretty well. I do turn it off sometimes because it can be annoying. But by and large I find it’s fine. I don't think anyone knows for sure how it will effect long term reliability. Supposedly its designed for it and will be fine. Skepticism is understandable given the auto industries track record.

I think 1-2 mpg's is pretty insignificant from a individual standpoint anyway, like 100-200 bucks a year depending on driving. It's really designed to lower the emissions of the entire fleet, aka if there is 5m trucks on the road all with it then 1-2 mpg's is a significant decrease in emissions.
