Hi, everyone My name is Zach and I'm the dealer principal at a Ford dealership in Granger, Iowa. Many of you are familiar with Ford's COVP program, and I view it as a huge opportunity for our store and anyone interested in purchasing a F-150 truck. We are offering 3% under invoice on any F-150 truck that is a retail order. There's no catch or gimmick. We view it as a huge opportunity to increase our market share locally and gain business we woldn't have had otherwise. To get a quote started just email a Build & Price from Ford's website to [email protected]

Just a few quick notes (because I know I'll get asked!)

1 - Our documentation fee is $180.
2 - There are NO mandatory add ons.
3 - There is a Non-Refundable $1000 deposit due at order.
4 - We will get you an electronic signature document with options, pricing, and details for your signature before placing the order.
5 - We do not participate in courtesy deliveries to other dealerships.
6 - We do not collect sales tax for out of state purchase (you don't have to pay Iowa tax, but will owe tax upon the return to your home state).

While, we cannot compete with the size of some Texas truck dealerships, we are one of the biggest F-series dealers in the state of Iowa for 2020. Current wait times for a retail order on a F-150 are 3-4 months. We are very familiar with this process as we are the biggest Bronco reservation holding dealership in the country and can facilitate out of state purchases with ease.

We are offering 2% Under invoice pricing on F-250 retail orders as well.

I appreciate the opportunity and would love to be an asset to this community.

Thanks!
Hey Zach, thanks for the tremendous offer on this. I have reached out to Chip and looking forward to getting the process started. Just had a couple questions:
Will you be accepting any finance specials offered by Ford at the time of pickup? If not, are we able to bring our own financing/cash?
Are we able to finance with just the $1000 deposit as money down?
How does the tax portion work when returning to our home state?

Thanks!

I can’t answer all that but I don’t finance so I did confirm before I ordered that we did not have to finance through Granger/Ford.

When you get a chance to look... a bunch of us on this forum saw huge changes in truck delivery dates that were supposed to be in the next 2 weeks. It seems there was a 3 month tag across the board on every order with delivery dates from now until the ned of February.

A lot of us have sold current vehicles, or on a car that's on it's last legs... and are very anxious. Would you be willing to check on these Monday and make a post here about what you see / hear and what your opinion is? Such as, will it really be a 3 month delay?

I know your busy! Definitely appreciate your help!

I got $3500 under invoice for El Cajon ford earlier this month but I didn’t sign anything so hopefully they don’t back out of the deal.

I just got mine ordered from Granger! Super easy process and from what I’ve seen it’s a 3-4 month wait from order to getting the truck. Hopefully not longer due to ongoing issues.

You get it in over the weekend? I have yet to get a response from sending my info over on Friday. A touch nervous as it’s the last day of the month and not sure if they’re keeping this deal into Feb. Could also be a sign that I’m suppose to buy a junker right now and wait for the updated Ranger next year as that’s more aligned with what I’d use my truck for 😊

I Signed my order and paid my deposit this AM, and then received my order confirmation by 4pm cst. May want to give them a call tomorrow to see if they received your info.

Yeah, I'm happy to help. It looks like we had 21 vehicles get switched to that status. That is because the vehicle now went to a Microchip on hold. So these trucks are still being produced, but missing some microchip that needs to come in to wrap up production. I believe last summer there was a huge amount of these being held. Now we have seen it in ebbs and flows. They typically put the esimated ship date as a worst-case scenario number and it can be filled before then. But that is kinda their internal goal as to when to have it wrapped up.

Hope that makes sense.
Love to get an update on order A084 whenever you have time.
this is still waiting for a VIN to be assigned.

Yes, we will get this ordered. We're catching up today.

Well there goes the glitch theory.

Thanks for the update @zach@granger

Getting one of those PCOs should would make the extension a little more bearable.

Got my order in yesterday. Fingers crossed I can get it by mid July
I'm waiting on my paperwork to get mine in as well. Mid-July is my "best case" expectation.

**November Allocation Update**

We received our final allocation update for November. These trucks will be for January and February Production. Plan on these trucks being here by February/March (Don't look up the average temperature in Des Moines in JFebruary 🥶).

As of today, we have 79 unscheduled F-150 trucks that need vins. We received allocation for 84 F-150 trucks, plus we have another 11 unscheduled F-150s from October allocation. That leaves us with a net surplus of 16 F-150s left over after current retail demand.

Now realize there are a lot of factors in that which could speed up or slow down your order. But we initially told everyone plan on 4-6 months for delivery, and that is what we are on pace for almost exactly on the shorter side of that. I know some of you who have Tremors on order have had a longer wait though!

We appreciate the opportunity to earn everyone's business. We are going to add a couple more staff members to help us turn around quotes more quickly and help facilitate questions, pickup/delivery, etc.
Hey @zach@granger - may not be feasible but if you have a chance do you have a similar update on the allocation for Granger and what's in your queue?

We have a good idea from your other update that chip delays are back in full force and order to builds aren't quick.

Always appreciate your time! I recommend y'all to anyone who mentions ordering a truck.

Yeah,

Currently we have around 150 trucks with VINS that have yet to be delivered. They are all in some state of production, waiting to be produced, in-transit, or recently delivered. We have a remaining allocation from last month that has yet to be filled of 25 orders. We have around 120 orders in the system waiting for a VIN to be assigned. If we would've received the normal allocation this month, we should have been able to fill all of those, now those are rolled over into next month's allocation slot if they don't take one of the 25 remaining spots.

From reports I've heard Ford is not filling their entire COVP with F-150 retail orders like they are on Super Duty. So there isn't a huge backlog of F-150 orders sitting there. That means the biggest hurdle to get a VIN is if the commodities are available. We have had a hard time getting Platinum and King Ranch orders scheduled and have had little to no issue getting Tremor, Lariat and lower trims built. So the issues you may be seeing with really extended lead times tend to be Platinums and King Ranch orders.

I'd imagine we'd have almost all of our orders scheduled with our stock allocation and COVP allocation next month once the new allocation rolls out. That being said, there are going to be ebbs and flows with chip holds throughout this entire year I believe. I don't think we'll be out of this supply shortage until 2023 at the earliest.

I was on the Bronco6g forum for awhile and there were, unfortunately, several folks that went to their dealer (never Granger) to pickup their Bronco only to find out there were now significant "market adjustment" add-ons. Some really bad situations and scumbag dealers out there. El Cajon may be an upstanding dealer, I don't know anything about them, just sharing other's experiences (again, the Granger team is highly regarded.)

Bottom line, get some signed documentation from their sales manager or GM.
