Replying to my own post but I just did some research.I don’t have my truck yet, but has been ordered with a build date of Jan 10.
On my build when I selected the 402a package it automatically added the trailer tow package which includes all the tow technology goodies.
What's your difference in wheel well heights front/rear? I measured 4" diff on the 402a w/trailer tow in dealer lot today.I got just the tow tech package and have the regular leaf stack. The hitch looks to be the same. Not sure about the cooling system.
@flag 402a comes with Tow Tech package, but trailer tow package option box has to be checked off regardless of 400/401/402 for 10,900lb rating on ford site, prob not on dealer order system as you say. Go count those leafs, 3 in the back then your dealer is correct...and he better be! (I specifically avoided this option on my build since I dont tow and want a more compliant ride for my offroading).Anyway after reading the comments here I called the dealer after reviewing the 22 order guide, and he assured me it has a 10900 lb rating, I believe him after spending $70k+,![]()
What does your window sticker say? Also, you can check your tow hitch and truck gcvwrHi guys, I just picked up my 21 Tremor 402A December 1. Ive been following a few threads here, and this one caught my attention. I ordered mine in June and paid a lot of attention to order detail, and I saw no tow package, but I believe the dealer told me it disappears with the 402A. I measured my front fender height at 39” and the rear at 43”, you wouldn’t want more rake than this imo. I hooked up my 25’ Artic Fox travel trailer (7500 lbs) just to see the drop, about 3”, I towed it a few miles and am quite impressed. I’am at 7000’ elevation and still have my 17 Raptor, seems comparable, except I can’t hook the trailer up to the Raptor without Timbren helpers being installed, it will flat drop out of sight. Anyway after reading the comments here I called the dealer after reviewing the 22 order guide, and he assured me it has a 10900 lb rating, I believe him after spending $70k+,![]()
Flagman, does this mean you only ordered the tow technology package and can still tow over 10k pounds?Window Sticker says 7000#, here’s the hitch sticker 11,600# and I doubt they put another hitch on Tremors. Note on coachdads’ post, second from top on this page referencing 2022 f150 Trailer Tow Guide, only footnote 6 references Tremor at 11900#, perhaps the others apply and to all combos of engines and ratios. If there is another addition with the trailer tow package, I would like to know what it is. flagman
Gcvwr should be in the 18k rangeWindow Sticker says 7000#, here’s the hitch sticker 11,600# and I doubt they put another hitch on Tremors. Dealer says so, and I attempted to get a max tow package. I do see the additional tow package on the 22 order guide, but I think it was different for 21s, perhaps someone can post up a 22 sticker, flagmanFlagman, does this mean you only ordered the tow technology package and can still tow over 10k pounds?
I can’t find gcvwr posted anywhere, can you tell me where I can?Gcvwr should be in the 18k range
Let's try this again. Note 2 refers to any F150 with the 3.5L Ecoboost. It says don't exceed 7000 LBS without the 53A Trailer Tow Package. This footnote applies to all 3.5L Ecoboost F150's.Window Sticker says 7000#, here’s the hitch sticker 11,600# and I doubt they put another hitch on Tremors. It seems some piece of info is missing and not one of us want to see you on the bad end of a misunderstanding.Ok, the 53A package is not listed on my window sticker, but as I mentioned I remember my dealer saying it could not be added as it’s included in one of the other packages, probably tow technology, either way, I have all the items it includes. Now, let’s get to towing, after 1000 mile break in period though, flagman
If the window sticker says #7000 (and doesn't mention the trailer tow package), then your max tow is #7000. I think Rotorhead mentioned the 53A having the upgraded transmission cooler and maybe something else which isn't identified in the build and price (or anywhere I could find). Tremors don't have a max tow package, only a trailer tow package (53A) that allows us to pull 10K+. There are questions whether or not the Torsen adds an increase payload/towing of ~ 200 pounds.Window Sticker says 7000#, here’s the hitch sticker 11,600# and I doubt they put another hitch on Tremors. Wow! That’s not much sag for an assumed 800 pounds of tongue weight. I have 3 leafs in my springs, is yours 3 also? flagmanOn another note. I hooked up the truck to my 8000 pound trailer without the load distribution bars and it had a 1/2 in squat.
I imagine with them it'll have about a 1 inch rake. Add on the gear, dogs and wife and it'll be about level before a front lift. I hope dravers has an answer for me.
