Airflow sync update

Cool.
To my surprise, I started my TREMOR this morning and it said that I had a battery management update that will be downloaded around noon.
Have you received this update already?
Looking forward to hearing what your dealer says.

Last update I got was blue cruise on Jan 3. I don't have blue cruise lol. It's been stuck for ages.

Just got a call from dealer and they said yes they are applying all the procedures/updates on that TSB right now. I bet they'll be there a while updating the damn thing!

Got the truck back and have driven a few cycles ... So far no issues with infotainment freezing up or rebooting on startup....

And here's the interesting one, I SWEAR the transmission now is buttery smooth. No more jerky shifts and such. Could be in my head but it was like, noticeably smooth.

No change to sync version number though, and no fresh OTA updates have appeared.

Damn that’s awesome to hear. I might have to push for getting this done on mine. My transmission has a bit of a rough 2-3 or 3-4, I can never remember which side of 3 but it bugs me and worries me on lifespan. It’s had it since before the whipple which I do worry it might mean the trans is showing a warning sign for failure one day. But you give me hope hearing it’s improved

Nice.
Since the PCM was updated, perhaps your perception of the transmission shifts being smoother is correct.
Hopefully over the next few days, SYNC updates will start dropping to you.

It has not. A guy on the 14th gen forums who can check FDRS says the apim update isn't released for my vin yet sadly

So I got a call from the local dealership about a "Recall Update" for the HVAC system. They are sending a tech out tomorrow morning to do said "update" on it. I'm still a little confused as to whether it's an update or recall.... Dealer says both but ZERO shows for a recall on Ford or any recall sites NHTSA ect. I'm thinking it's probably just a TSB. We'll find out and I'll post the info here if anyone is curious.
My 2024 5.0 AC can hang meat with the temp on 80 so maybe this will rectify this
Wonder if its causing undue stress on the compressor keeping it running more than usual?
The auto temp during remote start works great for warm/cool times.

Just to follow up from the Tech visit for the update/recall... It is an actual recall that requires an update,not a tsb.. Apparently mine was done prior to leaving the factory and did not need it (lack of communication with ford and dealerships imagine that..) The recall/update is for hvac not cooling properly. If yours isn't cooling properly have them check for this recall. Mine cools like an artic wind and blows like a tornado.

Thanks for the link. For me, it only shows my last three software updates. It doesn't display anything before that. Still helpful to see though.

That link is helpful, my 22 has had 12 updates this year. Odd why some would have so many while others have not been getting updates. Mine updated the airflow twice. I felt that the AC was not running the fan as high when you use the auto feature with a desired temp. I noticed that I was having battery issues, then replaced my battery and have not had any problems with getting updates since. I spoke with a lady from Ford and she said your battery needs to be at 80% to get updates.

Just an update: last summer when I would get in my truck on a really hot day, my A/C would blow cold air for about 10 minutes and then blow warm air. Since the update, I’ve had no issues on hot days this summer.

Shes not wrong, but also there's other unknown issues why some trucks get updates and some don't. Mine doesn't.

……I can add up all of the updates I received and downloaded myself for my previous 2016 F150 Lariat and my 2023 TREMOR combined and they still won’t reach 12 like member SP0CI.
