Shipment got delayed!
are you looking to paint them yourself?I have a busy weekend ahead so this is what I have for y’all. I’m planning to have install tips and tricks as well as pics of the different variations of setups by next weekend so that the week of the 19th I can open orders.
The plan is as follows, bracket will be 3/16 6061 T6 aluminum, with a low sheen wrinkle black paint. I leaning towards paint because it keeps cost down so that I can get these to y’all reasonably. I would like to be at least 20 brackets for the first order, this will allow the price to be substantially lower. Please post with any input or thoughts you might have.
Thanks, and have a wonderful weekend!
I have been unable to find a powder coater close to where I live. Would you have any tips to finding one?are you looking to paint them yourself?
the powdercoat pricing drops quite a bit with quantity and its super convenient to not have to mess with painting yourself. just saying.

I have the cross link splitters on the way! I’m thinking that you may have to plug them in then mount the light. But I haven’t used them before. Yes I modeled the SS3s and brackets to figure out spacing, since I can’t be home this weekend!couple of questions!
did you model the ss3 yourself? if so, mind sharing the file? i made a lower fidelity model myself but i like things to look as real as possible
is there enough clearance between the pod and the bracket to allow for the deutsch connector harness to plug in and the cable to get out of the way? the crosslink splitters that i assume are the plan for daisy chaining these pods together are pretty bulky/stiff.
side note, for future screenshots of your models, turn off the joints and construction components so that they aren't cluttering up the image. we want to see your designs in all their glory!
Nice work! keep it up!

3 center in white & the two outside in yellow?Figured it out
I’m going to run 3 sport spots, and 2 pro combos. The sport spots are brighter than the pro spots.3 center in white & the two outside in yellow?
Cblaxx - any recommendations on what lenses to do from DD?

Could split the yellows & whites on 2 different upfitter switches? Need to do some figuringI’m going to run 3 sport spots, and 2 pro combos. The sport spots are brighter than the pro spots.
But I currently have 2 sets for fogs! One yellow pro and one yellow sport. Did it that way so that I didn’t over power the factory wiring with 6 amps!
personally, im not a fan of the combo lens. I originally had that on my ditch lights but i felt it hurt the distance too much and the wide portion of the beam was too dim. so i switch out to the driving lens for distance and added the ssc1 to the side with flood for near area spread.3 center in white & the two outside in yellow?

Good to know I’ll test with fog and combo beams!personally, im not a fan of the combo lens. with an array of pods, i feel like the combo is wasted since you have the ability to mix and match lenses to get the same effect, but without splitting the single output of a singular pod.
ie. on my ss2 bar, i did spots, drivings, and fogs to get a solid spread of distance and width.
if it were me doing this 5 pod setups, id probably go with 1 spot in the middle, driving on either side of the spot, and fogs on the ends for width.
shameless plug here, if you do end up buying some DD pods, feel free to use code LDFTTREMOR for free shipping.
This is the guidance I was looking for, appreciate it! & when I pull the trigger on these I will definitely use your codepersonally, im not a fan of the combo lens. This is all (3) DD pro sae fog, I'll be switching the center one out to a combo lense soon to shoot a little further down the road.Good to know I’ll test with fog and combo beams!
