Bilstein 6112/5160 Travel Question

Agree. Oem replacement is what I'm going to push for. Glad to hear I'm not over reacting.

The truck has ended up way too high in the front. With the clip on #4 and a motoFab shim is a full 2" over stock. There's no way it will settle a full inch.

Aesthetically it looks good but CV angles are unacceptable. I don't like when the pleats on the boot collapse and start touching each other.
I've already zeroed the camber and toe myself. Fixing caster is not going to affect ride height by any appreciable amount.

I think I'm going to remove the shims and drop the clip ring to #3 before I go waste $160 on an alignment. That should remove 1" of lift.
What in the world caused this? The motofab spacer is a reliable 1/2" lift so it's not a suspect.
Either the KYB tophat rubber is too thick, too stiff, or the spring rates are out of spec?

Something sounds off. I didnt get anywhere close to that at circlip 5 plus the motofab spacer.

Yeah it's crazy. Unfortunately par for the course in my experience.

You can see in that other pic it's definitely on clip #4. My hub to fender was 22.75" stock. Now 24.75". CV boots confirm.

Maybe a manufacturing error in the clip ring locations. I wish I'd just left it stock. My back is killing me and I have a ruined wheel.

Where is the spring marking?

Not that it helps much, but the spare is a matching wheel. At least on mine. Not sure if that's changed i guess.

I put the markings out front.

Yes I was very happy to see a matching spare wheel. I plan to put on a matching tire and rotate it in.
