What's new

Cranbery's Build - "Homelander"

Would love to hear a cold start and acceleration from inside and outside the cab. My next mods will be DP, IC, IC tubing, intake, and custom tune from Boost King. I want to make sure the DP don't drone.
I bought some little mics on Amazon to get some decent audio the other day, will report back.

I'm like 90% satisfied with the sound after the downpipes. I've had better sounding ones, but overall it's legit. It is noticably louder, heads up.

I appreciate it, I am good with louder, drone is what I don't want. I assume these are attached to the stock exhaust? Also, any smell from the exhaust or are the cats doing their job?

No mine are on borla catback. I don't know if these fit to stock - I would think so.

No smell from the exhaust. They aren't GESI cats is my only complaint.

What size tires are you running again? 35's or 34's?

35s nominal. The AD on most 35s is slightly less in actual dimensions like how wood and metal is.

My only downfall to a holster in your vehicle is if you have to leave the vehicle you might forget to grab the gun, I carry every where. If they don't permit it I don't go.
Leaving the gun is true. But i weigh 300 lbs so I dont sit in the truck with it on. I have a sleeve I keep mine in while driving. Because I dont want to have try removing it in the truck.

So my MT baja boss' went to shit while on the way to work at 6AM. They had 40k or so on them, not new but by no means did I expect this... cracked in three places on the inside sidewall. They were great tires overall, but this really disappointed me.

I wanted to get the AT4 wildpeaks in 35x12.5 but this tariff bullshit has them all out of stock, ended up getting the 295s. So far I like them, a little quieter, still look good. Ride is very similar. Better in the rain though.

My ARB single went also, so the same day I had the flat, the compressor didn't work either. Was a wonderful morning. I ordered the ARB twin and will post pics once I have time to install it.

I also had the luck that my bottle jack broke too! So I had to swap to the spare using the stock jack, which had about 1/8" play off the ground to get the tire out. Was a disaster all around. I went to harbor freight and got the badlands jack and am going to mount it to the bed when I install the compressor.

While I got the tires swapped I did the brake pads also, got the powerstops with the red plate, noticably better than stock.

Bonus pics from my ride today north of Roanoke,VA while on vacation,I'm staying in Jefferson right south of the VA border.

Holy moly, that sucks man. RIP Baja boss @Machine 😂.

Taking a closer look at Picture 3, it almost looks like the tire was cracking, either from age or sitting out in the sun for too long. Dry rot? In any case, 40K is very early.

Those AT4s are really awesome. You’ll have to give us an update on how you like them after putting some miles on them.

I run those 295 AT4 Wildpeaks on my 22 Tremor. I love them. They offer a nice look, good ride with little road noise! Good luck with them!

So I did get to put the new tires and brakes to the test this week, took some time off near the Jefferson, NC area this week and hit some trails while I was here!

Broad Run, N of Roanoke, VA and Dicks Creek near Unicoi, TN. The latter was very narrow, definitely got some pinstripes.

After finishing Dicks Creek I tried to take advantage of being in the area and did a bit of Horse Creek 30 mins away, but it was too late to also finish a 9 mile out and back. It was getting super tight about a mile in as well - a lot of overgrowth and fallen trees from the hurricane.

The AT4s are way better than the baja boss in the wet - the weather was pretty chit all week and they felt great. The trail today was raining hard and at 28 PSI I had close to zero problems on steep climbs with rock obstacles and mud/puddles.

Brakes had to get bedded some at first but we're noticabley better than the stock on similar trails from what I remember.

The tires and brakes also stop on a dime because I came a few inches from a deer that run out in front of me on the way back to the VRBO!

Yeah that doesn’t suprise me about the AT4s vs Baja Boss. The Baja boss is closer to a mud terrain than a A/T, much less Siping.

Great pictures! Looks like you had fun.

Man I wish you Tremor guys lived out here I have no one to wheel with. I’m all alone in Southern Oregon.

(y) I’ve been using it for a couple years now and haven’t had an issue and that’s using one bolt only in each plate. Just make sure you look underneath where you plan to mount it to make sure you can get to the bolts.
