Did you buy an extended warranty?

So after finding this thread, I went to Ziegler and poked around. Seems like other places I've checked only list 10yr for PremiumCare but that is massive overkill for me...I drive too many miles. Something like 6yr/125k miles would be a lot closer to my mileage over that timeframe and it looks like an option (and cheaper than 10yr/125k by a decent amount). I am another who typically does not do extended warranties but I am considering it on this one (planning on keeping it a while...but I also planned on keeping the 4Runner until the wheels fell off and that was a 2023 and here I am so...)

A single trip to the shop gonna be 1k these days. Go twice and you paid for it. No brainer considering how extremely expensive some systems on these trucks can be.... You ain't buying a new 600 dollar tranny and having it swapped in an hour....

Understood (and exactly why I'm looking at it on this one). I'll dig more in a few weeks after I see how much damage the excise tax is going to be when I register it.

Mine had some deal where you could buy the ESP with the Ford points so I did that...then they forgot to take the points off my account

I could have sworn that warranty information used to be in the Ford pass app someplace, but after the update I don't see it anymore....
yeah, pisses me off, that they took it out. Supposedly it will be part of a future app update, but i'm not holding my breath.

Yeah I recall it showing wonky in my app but the dealer had no problem seeing it when they pulled my vin

I hope you saved the paperwork for your warranty 😄

Oh for sure, I have it. I did find that I can view it by going to https://www.ford.com/support/warranty/ but it doesn't show much detail, like what level "Premium care" vs "Extra", "Base" etc., or the addons, I added electrical or whatever for headlights. It only shows this:

Is the deductible per visit or per issue? For example, if you have the AC go out and also the rear diff goes out, do you pay one deducible for the AC and one for the diff, or is it one deductible if you bring it in for both to be repaired?

Yes...per repair visit ..so 2 items in 1 service visit should be 1 deductible

I wait usually...I had a service writer try to charge me 3 deductible s one time.....:) quick chat with service manager cleared it up...

One problem or more with the vehicle when you take it in equals one deductible so kill one or several birds with one stone / deductible.
