I wish I had photos from somewhere exciting, been upgrading the electric in the new Mantis for the past few months and was finally able to get it out for testing. Able to run the AC without being connected to shore power was the goal and that has been accomplished! 600 watts on the roof in two different arrays with 220 watts portable (photos do not include portable), 300ah LiFePO4 batteries, 2000 watt Xantrex inverter/charger, Victron SCC (3) and BMV.

Also made some interior wall panels so we can stop bumping into the cold aluminum while sleeping.

Allegheny National Forest for the weekend, with a quick trip to Kinzua Bridge, Shenandoah National Park for a night (it was just a little foggy), and now Dreher Island State Park. Hitting Conagree National Park tomorrow.

Still waiting on my RTT, ships mid June which will miss my trip to the New River Gorge in WV on the 6/9. Hopefully this is my last ground tent trip!

Nice ! How do you like the Mantis? Looking for a smaller camper for me and the dog that I can stand up and had A/C.
Did you convert your A/C to a 12v? A lot more choices out there now thanks to camper van demand.

We like the Manits, it work’s exceptionally well for how we camp. The AC is the 120v unit it comes with; I installed solar, inverter, and 300ah of LiFePO4 batteries, can run the AC for a few hours. We have not had to plug into shore power yet.

We just did 10 state 3000 mile road trip in our tremor and pop up hitting up hot springs NP, mammoth cave NP, great smoky mountain NP, and gulf islands national sea shore. Saw a ton of wild life along the way including bears, elk, bald eagle, golden eagle, etc. Great time with the family and Tremor pulled our pop up like a champ. Taxa is based few miles from my house and have my eye on a mantis to replace our pop up with one someday.
