Fender Flares

Alright, here it is after the rockers too. I had a productive weekend so far, putting on the bed cover, rockers, flares, and the F150lights vent lights. Love it so far though!

I will be getting the bolts coated soon. Just wanted to get them on and then take them to be coated later.
I wish they would sell just the back bottom portion of those flares separately. I wonder if you could make them look good cutting the rest of the flare off and just keep the little flaps? Maybe I will have to try 3D printing something like that.

It would be an easy thing to mount, that's for sure. There are 2 screws on the inside bottom of the wheel well that would holt it pretty well. Stick the top on with silicone or something and it could work.

I hate the bolts but I didn't realized until you cropped this the small detail of the flare exactly matching the lines/contours of the side of the truck. And that makes them look so much better than any other model I've seen so far. Gonna have to think on it and just watch DFris finish his build first lol

They fit the truck lines soooo well. That's what sold me on them after getting bad news on the xenon...and honestly I was torn on them to begin with, literally just the bolts I didn't like made me pick them over these. Glad I got back to these in the end.

The shops around here keep telling me not to coat the bolts (I will regardless because I don't like them silver) but I wonder if something like plastidip or just rattle can in general would be sufficient for these...any thoughts y'all?

I would definitely try. I think the rattle can would work but you might need to really scuff up the surface to make it stick. So question ends up being if you ruin a bolt can you get more identical? I don't have any experience with plastidip, is it typically durable?

@Dfris Randomly... Could you fit mudflaps with those fenders? Would that then look too ridiculous? I have a set of RokBlok I was goint to install.

You probably could if you wanted as I don't see anything that would prevent it, but I would imagine it would look a bit weird. They cover a decent amount themselves though.

If Xenon doesn't get their act together, I may end up going this direction

Fiberwork also makes a 2021+ full fenders in glass and Carbon. I had a set on my first gen Raptor and they are a lot of work to get fit and finished. Plus you need to make a custom inner fender liner. So cool once its done. A Tremor with those on would be killer.

Killer for your wallet!

These are sick! Definitely going to keep this pinned in my mind for down the road. LOOONG term plan is 500-600hp and aesthetics to match; these would certainly fit that mentality.

If you actually go this route details would be much appreciated.

I bought mine with factory installed (yes, factory installed) Air Design flares and rocker panels. They were black so I took them off right away. I will probably get them painted or order the Rough Country SF1 fender flares and get them painted to match. I will also add led lights in the 3 pockets like this guy did.

They look pretty bad ass. I will either wire them to the side lights for the front and maybe the brake lights (in red) for the rear. I may also check to see if the upfitter switch has a lead that goes off when the truck is off and just leave it on all the time. My Raptor had the different wires already in the engine compartment.

If I do it, I will definitely post it.

I'm sold. Now that I've seen them in a real setting, I'll go this direction. Now what can I do with the lights... :)

The clear penny lights would match the DRL’s and technically get actually useable light output not much but a little.

ordered. I have a spare aux switch. IT seems a pair of low power lasers is reasonable to mount on a truck named Mountain Yak.
Only if you modify the hood vents or the side vents with pop out mini guns.

Just checking in on how your flares have been, any issues with them coming loose?
