Fender Flares

I personally do not rely on any sensors for my driving, the backup camera is great for hooking up my trailers. The bluecruise is a computer telling me how to drive. It is just something else to go wrong.

Just like a radio and heater.

I'm in the 402 with bluecruise boat, definitely interested to see fender options that work...not sure if I want fenders though for sure...

I’d really like a low profile OEM style fender. I plan on keeping the OEM wheels so I don’t need a huge fender but the wheel wells just look naked without some sort of trim there.

I agree. It would be nice if Roush sold theirs and sold them in factory paint colors.

@Yeti I was told by Ford that fender flares would not affect the sensors or the cameras unless they extended out past the line of sight of the camera, personally I haven't seen any that we've posted about that extended beyond the cameras.

Great news! Those beefy bushwackers extend out further than the wheels/tires I put on. I wonder if it's a simple recalibration that's needed afterward.

I'm guessing their old ones were. Or, Bushwaker hasn't officially released the ones SCA is using. I'll see if I can't pull the good 'ol boy card.

I was looking at the truck (as we all do), this morning. If anyone has experience with forms and what it would take to make a good fender flare, I'm all about a design that incorporates the angle of the fender below the ridge. Yes, my wife my be right and I'm thinking entirely too much about this truck...

Just got off the phone with SCA. They're making their own fender flares (at least for the 21) and are exclusive to their trucks. I haven't been this tempted to lie to someone in a long time.

I just installed the Bushwacker Extend-A-Fender flares. Had them painted too match. Will install Fox coilover lift when they come out and new wheels with at least +18 offset to fill the flares. Still deciding if I like the look. Will have to wait till all mods are done.

Do you happen to have a pic from before paint? I'm debating keeping them black. I'm just not sure which way to go.

Nope, I got them painted the day after I received them. Sorry. To be honest the raw finish is ok but it looks like they would show scratches easily.

They look great on your truck. I think a lift and beefier wheels would fill them out nicely.

I thought the same thing and you can get them from Ford. So I was debating getting them from and installed by my local dealership. I just wish the bolts could be something other than chrome. Maybe they can be painted too...

I'm not a fan of those. the same squared donut look and I would like something a bit more like what they did on the bronco or what xenon did.
