Full Screen Apple CarPlay

They are running a code now, MAGIC, to get 20% off. But still, $320+ not sure I want to spend that.

I saw that too. If you buy two of them they come out to approx. $280 a piece. We also have a 22 Bronco Sport so having one for each vehicle would be convenient but it's a lot of money for a feature that would only be used to its full potential a few times a year.

That's my issue. For half that price it would be tempting. I can't get carstream to work, but I'm not convinced in a year or two there won't be competition for the magic box that drives the price down.....or at least that's what I'm hoping.

Did finally get the coolwalk switched on. Even without the ability to go full screen on an individual app, the interface is much nicer and it's cleaner.

Got the update sometime yesterday. Still need to check out the CarPlay split version but not bad, just extended.

Definitely would be more useful if you had a jailbroken phone or a magic box.

Anyone figure out the “multiple phone” feature yet? I tried to play around with it on a drive last night but didn’t get anywhere.

Free download AAAD, once you do that it works with your Android auto, open it up and download AA mirror plus, it mirrors your phone to your sync.

My display has been rebooting every now and then while driving and it did it again today but this time the update was there after the reboot...

Took me forever to get the Full Screen update and now I am on my third update. Just got a priorityl update tonight. I wonder what it will fix. Says it's another small adjustment for larger updates. Never had it tell me to get out of the car before.

I’m still stuck on my last update on 9/8/22 and the dealer can’t figure it out. The truck says it’s up to date so the dealer said it’s up to date. Tried calling Ford about it and they told me a dealer would have to help me.

I took mine in today and asked him to do a forced update on it since mine hadn’t had a single update since it was manufactured in august 2022. The tech was able to get it to update, but it did not have the full screen CarPlay. He said there did not appear to be any other updates for my particular truck waiting for deployments. So he was going to call in a ticket with Ford and that I could expect an OTA update to be pushed me within 48 hours. Fingers crossed.

What’s going on everyone? So I’ve had my tremor for about 3 weeks now. I bought a brand new 22. I still have no update nor do I have the full screen Apple car play.

Another thing is, I don’t have the hands free blue cruise. The truck has the option and my for pass says active, but it doesn’t work. And yes I have tried in the freeways it says.

Kind of, maybe… It took about a week but then yesterday I got an OTA update to 3.5.2. The release notes say it is a gateway to future updates. Picture attached. I messaged the Ford Tech and he said to give it a few more days to see if the rest of the updates come in. From this thread it sounds like I need to get to 3.5.3.2 for full screen CarPlay.

If not he said “I did talk to hotline and they always do a copy-paste and it said to come back in do a battery rest then Uninstall the program from Ford then reinstall it then use another computer to retry.”

That sounds like a mess So I’ll give it a week and then take it back in I guess. I did ensure the truck was connected to my wifi, I have an update schedule set for overnights, and I’m driving it daily. So I would think if the OTA updates are coming I’ll get them.
