When was your last update prior to getting this one?

Sorry iPhone users, but if you have an android, you can download an app call AAAD (Android auto apps downloader) You get 1 free download a month I believe. Once you download that, use that app to download Carstream which enables you to watch YouTube while driving (not recommended but it has saved my ass a few times when your stuck in a bad traffic jam and the 2 year old dictator sitting on his plastic throne in the back decides to voice his displeasure at the top of his little lungs). Its nice when Im waiting in the parking lot for the kids to come out from hockey and bball practice.

Edit: I wasn't able to get Carstream to work in AA but I did get Fermata to work. Google Fermata Auto and download the .apk. If it's an old version, it will prompt you to update. I installed 1.9.

I didnt know you didnt have to use the 3rd party app! I have the pixel 6 pro running android 13 as well and have no problems with it

That's odd that you couldn't get Carstream to work, Im able to run both on my Pixel 6 Pro running android 13

From what I've been reading, and maybe a few of you who have it can confirm/deny, you don't even know you have Coolwalk until you try it out since its not tied to a software version or update.

I just got the 3.5.3.2 update yesterday, and I think it does look nicer even without the Coolwalk. One upside I've noticed is that before the update whenever I was listening to music with AA and used the voice option to call someone, there was a split second where the music volume turned up and moved to the left side. Since the update, it hasn't done that.

There was also one particular person on the GEN14 forums who mentioned having the Death Static with the B&O Unleashed pretty consistently, and since the newest update hasn't had it. That might not mean anything, but it could potentially be good news.

I've only heard of being able to do it with androids. Iphone is too locked down

I finally got the update! Having a wider map is nice, but I have to say that waiting for the update was more fun that having the update.

The Ford sidecar would often have the wrong track title or album artwork for me, especially if I switch between Spotify and my podcast app. So at least that issue will be resolved now: I just won't ever look at it again!

I’m still really liking full screen Apple CarPlay. I love the clean appearance of the full screen map, and if I do want to see what podcasts or Spotify is playing I like the Apple Card way better than the Ford cards. I do still absolutely love the ford native map appearance but it’s clunky mess just isn’t worth the appearance.

I got mine 2 days ago. That one Youtube video with the 2 screen resets sending trouble tickets to Ford works within 48 hours. I love it using Google Maps, it shows and labels everything, very cool.
It also made my truck faster and improved fuel economy. I think the larger screen car play has better aerodynamics and some type of weight reduction and or forced induction boost!

Still nothing for me. last update was September. I have been driving a decent amount. I think there may be something wrong with my auto start stop, it hardly ever works unless I drive for three hours straight. maybe the battery is not within parameters to allow an update. I live in SoCal. The parameters should always be within limits. I asked the dealer to check on it and they said it was fine. I reset the BMS as well and it works for one day and then stops the day after.

As mentioned above I did the two hard resets and after the second reset I had the full screen car play and the update notification. Like the truck had already downloaded it and just didn't get it installed without the reboot. Didn't even need to do the rest of the steps in the video. Going to try and update the theme today. More excited about that than the full screen.

I have noticed that every time I come home and park and enter my house, my phone stays connected to the car instead of automatically connecting to my home wifi network. Not sure if it's a coincidence or a result of the update.

I notice my AA stays connected every once in a while. But I noticed once I left the truck unlocked, and as soon as I hit the lock button it disconnected.

Gotcha. I always have mine unlocked in the garage. I will try locking it next time.
