Honest Eibach Review Needed

I just got my Eibach kit and noticed the rear struts don’t have boots on them. Is this standard? Or incorrect?
I think I saw your Facebook post and noticed no boots and thought was weird! They were in the box like @mxvet said. Take it back to the shop you installed at, mistakes happen but I wouldn't run them without boots.

@mxvet and @Techguy82 is that on the 2R kit or sport kit that they came with boots?

The Eibach website shows the reservoir shocks without boots, and the monotube with boots.

Fronts also have no boot / dust cover. None were in the box. Shop installed. I’m going to follow up with Eibach on Monday.

Also found in the end of this video, last 30”, they show the install of a 2R rear shock with no boots: Video

It's the 2r, rear only. Installed mine on Sunday and had to install the boots

@Real Elvis Did your rear shocks come with dust boots or are they installed on yours?

@Techguy82 I spoke with Eibach and they are going to ship me the boots.

I'd contact eibach if concerned. They send boots with the shocks (I have gotten 2 sets now) so I assume they are needed.

The boots have little drain holes at the bottom so if any water or debris got in somehow it at least has a way out. The boots come in the box but absolutely no mention of them in the install instructions.

I just installed the rears in my truck. I did mine with tires on and sitting in my driveway.

Pro tip: attach top part of shock first then wrap a ratchet strap around the shock. Now you can ratchet it closed and compress the shock and swing it perfectly into the lower shock mount and put your bolt through. Makes it super easy.
Very smart! I did mine today in the garage and it was difficult to compress. Wish I would have seen this first!

They did not send boots with my set, but they are sending me some boots

They aren’t required to install them so flip of a coin. I didn’t put mine on, lifetime warranty so if they leak eibach will replace regardless. No warranty issues either way

I tried using a jack on the first one and that went horribly bad haha. The strap on the second made it way easy.

But I was total dumbass and thought the hardware set was for the rears so installed the bolts on the rear shocks. Then I had to redo it when I figured out the bolts were for the fronts 🤦‍♂️. It only took me like 10 minutes to redo them with the ratchet strap though.

I have new unused set of the eibach rear reservoir shocks that I am not going to use. These are in very short supply right now. If anyone is interested, I’m located in Colorado. Message me if interested.

Why aren’t you going to use them?
