Nah, I thought about it but I think I’d rather pay and get the alignment done all at once.Nice.
Are you going to install them yourself?
I
The shop kept them at the factory max height setting so I got 2” raised, which is still leaving right at 2” of rake.
YesI drove an EV truck the other day and the one thing that really stuck out to me was how composed it felt. My Tremor has that 60's Cadillac ride, smooth but a little bouncy, most of the time, but on certain surfaces if really feels jittery and disconnected from the road.
I tried a set of Bilstein 5100s in the rear and felt like they were too stiff over small bumps. I swapped those out for a set of the Gen 1 Raptor SVT FOX shocks and they are much better but now I'm wondering if they are too soft or if the jittery feeling I'm getting is coming from the front. I haven't done front struts yet and I thought that rather than get FOX 2.0s for the front that I would get a matched set F/R. It sounds like the Eibachs are right in the Goldilocks zone, not too soft but not too firm. Do the Stage 2 R Eibachs cure the jittery feel that our trucks have?
I'm really close to placing an order for these.
I’m not sure about other makes but if you drove a F150 Lightning, the rear suspension is an IRS so yes, it should feel very composed.I drove an EV truck the other day and the one thing that really stuck out to me was how composed it felt. I did a market research thing and I'm under NDA so I can't talk about which truck it was. It is in production and I'm sure it was IRS. That said, I feel both ends of my Tremor get jittery and unsettled at times, especially at highway speeds on bumpy pavement. For reference we have a 2018 Explorer and a 2020 Corvette and neither of them feel as unsettled as the Tremor does on the same roads.I’m not sure about other makes but if you drove a F150 Lightning, the rear suspension is an IRS so yes, it should feel very composed.
Explorer and Corvette……IRS equipped.I did a market research thing and I'm under NDA so I can't talk about which truck it was. It is in production and I'm sure it was IRS. I placed an order with Shock Surplus this morning. They weren't the cheapest but they did have a few sets on the shelf. Everyone else is drop shipping and Eibach is back ordered until 2/14. I have a road trip coming up in a couple weeks and I want to get these installed beforehand.
If my e-stalking is on point, you left at factory height setting and shorter rear blocks? I like a little rake for hauling/towing, so will leave the stock blocks in if that's the only difference.Count me as another happy, satisfied Eibach coilover customer. Greatly improved ride, easy install.
Which setup did you go with, Stage-2 or Stage-2R???Count me as another happy, satisfied Eibach coilover customer. Greatly improved ride, easy install.
