I drove an EV truck the other day and the one thing that really stuck out to me was how composed it felt. My Tremor has that 60's Cadillac ride, smooth but a little bouncy, most of the time, but on certain surfaces if really feels jittery and disconnected from the road.

I tried a set of Bilstein 5100s in the rear and felt like they were too stiff over small bumps. I swapped those out for a set of the Gen 1 Raptor SVT FOX shocks and they are much better but now I'm wondering if they are too soft or if the jittery feeling I'm getting is coming from the front. I haven't done front struts yet and I thought that rather than get FOX 2.0s for the front that I would get a matched set F/R. It sounds like the Eibachs are right in the Goldilocks zone, not too soft but not too firm. Do the Stage 2 R Eibachs cure the jittery feel that our trucks have?

I'm really close to placing an order for these.

I finally got my fronts in last week with 2Rs in the rear. The shop kept them at the factory max height setting so I got 2” raised, which is still leaving right at 2” of rake.

They feel great, definitely help keep it less wallow-y and soak things up nicely. I really don’t feel like it’s any rougher than stock other than maybe a little more vibration transmission, but I’m already used to it. Small and large bumps alike it feels like it just eats them up with less jarring and bouncing around. And going from 4” of rake to 2” makes the truck look just right now. Looking to get it on some trails soon.

Good info, I was wondering if I needed to monkey with the settings before install.

Yes
I have done suspension upgrades on every truck I’ve had and most of the time I had buyer’s remorse wishing I picked differently. I’m 100% satisfied with the eibach pro stage 2R kit

I’m not sure about other makes but if you drove a F150 Lightning, the rear suspension is an IRS so yes, it should feel very composed.

I did a market research thing and I'm under NDA so I can't talk about which truck it was. It is in production and I'm sure it was IRS. That said, I feel both ends of my Tremor get jittery and unsettled at times, especially at highway speeds on bumpy pavement. For reference we have a 2018 Explorer and a 2020 Corvette and neither of them feel as unsettled as the Tremor does on the same roads.

I placed an order with Shock Surplus this morning. They weren't the cheapest but they did have a few sets on the shelf. Everyone else is drop shipping and Eibach is back ordered until 2/14. I have a road trip coming up in a couple weeks and I want to get these installed beforehand.

Explorer and Corvette……IRS equipped.

A TREMOR or any 1/2 truck will never handle as well as an IRS equipped vehicle on paved roads but the suspension overall can be improved with new shock / struts.

Many owners on here are very happy and satisfied with the Eibach kit. I personally have a preference for the Bilstein 6112 B8 kit with the 5100 rear shocks.

I hope the Eibach kit works for you.

Count me as another happy, satisfied Eibach coilover customer. Greatly improved ride, easy install.
If my e-stalking is on point, you left at factory height setting and shorter rear blocks? I like a little rake for hauling/towing, so will leave the stock blocks in if that's the only difference.

If anyone is looking for Eibach E86-35-035-02-22 we have a few kits back in stock. We also have our HaloLifts kits back in stock ready to ship!

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks,
Kevin

I received my set today. I noticed that they came with 16”x3”x450 lb springs. I guess since they are preloaded quite a bit they can use a longer spring with a softer spring rate. My set also came with boots for the rear shocks.

I got the rears installed today. They feel pretty good. Firmer than the FOX, but not so firm that you feel every crack in the road like you do with the Bilsteins. I have an appointment to have the fronts installed on Tuesday. I’m looking forward to seeing how they improve the ride.

I had the front coilovers installed yesterday. I wound up with 1.5" of lift in the front (3.5EB) so its now at 40" floor to fender and the rear is at 40.875" with ~330 pounds of camper and bedslide. The ride is firmer and more sporty but doesn't feel jarring. The front feels a lot more confident. It doesn't roll as much on cornering or dive under braking as much now. The oscillation of the tires over potholes has been reduced quite a bit but not entirely eliminated. From what I can tell most of the oscillations I feel are coming from the tires. These Grabber AT-X are like bowls of Jello. I think a proper LT tire would probably reduce it by quite a bit.

I'm giving the Eibach Pro Stage 2R kit (y)(y). This is how the truck should have been set up from the factory.
