Jan 10th Build Week Thread

Doesn’t say how long. I have a blend date of the 10th so I guess I’ll see how that turns out.
I heard about the halt of production on the F150’s and other models… I was mostly wondering what news @2022Tremor had heard about a large chip delivery in the near future.

Would love to hear what you think of the Tundra… I sold my 2017 a few months ago. Tundra was the closest competition for my $ besides the Tremor
Yeah I had a 2009 Tundra and loved it. I am stuck without a truck and came across a platinum at MSRP which is supposed to be in this next week? So I will give it a shot knowing I can unload it when/if the tremor comes in. (my Ford dealer also has Toyota but had no Tundras coming that weren't spoken for)

funny I was telling a customer on Friday out of NC and he said he put a deposit on a Tremor recently and dealer told him 8 months?

He has my window sticker and he said he would BUY it and he is 1200 miles away.

I guess I have options now, good options IMO

I just got off the phone with ford. My tremor has been in production since 1/12. And i just found out its now on hold due to the chip shortage. estimated delivery date is 4/24. That stinks!!! Now i am wondering about the truck just sitting there, with the mouse problems Chevrolet had other issues. Hope this does not turn them in to lemons! anyone else hear info like that?

I thought everyone from this week was on chip hold if you had not already received your truck. I called when everyone's tracker started showing estimated deliver for May and was told chip hold. I have estimated 5/9/22 delivery

I just talked to my small town dealer. He said my truck should be off the line in a couple days and as of right now his system shows my eta still for the 22nd of this month (was 21st a month ago) but said it could go to chip delay any time so no promises.

My tracker has never shown an ETA and I’ve never received an email from ford. Sooooo who the hell knows what’s going on.

I think I’ve stayed up on most of the posts in this thread… but was curious if anyone has moved out of chip hold purgatory that originally had this build week?

Do we know if anyone’s order has progressed yet?

@ChsTremor, @Sundroop3, @BigEasy44, @Michigander78 any updates for you guys?

No update here either. I keep waiting for one of these post notification emails I get to be from someone saying “my Jan 10th build just showed up at the dealer!”.

We have a bronco order that got pushed out twice in the past week as well.

That would be nice! And it sounds like that’s what happened last time there was a chip hold. Trucks just started showing up a dealers…

Makes it a little more interesting for those of us that ordered and will take delivery from Granger with a flight / long drive involved.

I just called ford marketing and still showing estimated delivery 5/9/2022 and they could see it shows chip hold. I ordered 11/16/21 was in production 1/16/22 and was showing to be leaving production 2/9/22 before ford kicked everyone down the road to May.

Same goes for myself, no new news on my order either. Still on chip hold, rescheduled delivery for 5/9/22

Also a Canadian order, our tracking site is down so no way to even look now. Only option is to call.

it’s actually pretty sad how they operate, no tracker, CS rep don’t really have any info that’s helps, new ford trucks still arriving in my town and from checking stickers even Dearborn trucks, wishful thinks helps on a Friday ….hope the chips don’t get stuck at the boarder🙏

Lots of people have been getting scheduled for builds the later part of march… what’s the consensus… think Ford will have chips in for those trucks? Does this mean anything for us?

No update from me. Patiently waiting with my accessories in my garage. All hat and no cattle.

I noticed that also. One would think that we would get put in line to get chips before the ones that are now getting scheduled. That’s what I’m hoping for at least.
I can say that our bronco build has been getting pushed back a lot lately. 4 times in the past two weeks which I think says something about the anticipated chip availability. It also could be something bronco specific. Who knows.
Still holding onto hope and trying to stay sane.

Just my thought here . . . but if Ford had trucks sitting in a parking lot waiting for chips and they receive a limited quantity of chips, the UAW will want their union employees employed and working the production line. Thus, those parked trucks can sit and wait for the sake of keeping as many people employed as possible.

Someone else made a good point on here that if the put the chips in the custom orders and get them to the dealer those are guaranteed cashflow where as non ordered ones are not. Hopefully that’s some incentive.

I had also seen somewhere that the number of chips they are getting "should" last until 2023.
