What's new

Jan 10th Build Week Thread

I've seen one or two people get the PCO plus below invoice, though rare. I got 3% under with Granger but haven't received a PCO
Thanks. I was hoping to try and land one if there was a call/email/process to get one while I wait…and wait…for my truck. I can be far more understanding of the delays if I had another $3k off.

It's very hard to get one after you've ordered, outside of just getting lucky. From what I've seen.

Can’t wait to roll in to the dealership with my PCO, first responder discount, and The story of how it Will have taken me almost 9 months to get my truck with little to no communication from the dealership. All kinds of stuff in my back pocket ready to go.
First responder discount? My wife is a nurse, I assume that would qualify. Never heard about this one

Typically $500 off for police, fire, EMT or their immediate family.

I’m a Grangerite and got a $2500 PCO last week- one day before Ford delayed my deliver 3 months. Coincidence, I think not!

Guys this thread is a heartbreaker. I ordered 11/26. Nothing from Ford. Finally called my dealer and got my vin and an ETA of late February for delivery.

Ford tracker only lists order as confirmed with no other dates. Was hoping my build date would be mid late january, and now everyone is showing delayed. My truck must be in Ford pergatory.

same here, i called customer support at Ford about chip delay yesterday.
After our conversation she said oh a Rebate Coupon just posted on my account.

Wondering if all delayed Trucks will be getting this? but mine was only $2000

let's hope so.

My buddy ordered his F150 Lariat Hybrid same day as my tremor and he got a $3000 coupon but it was right after he ordered?

When does your coupon expire? I'm curious as to how long those coupons are good for?
mine said April 4, 2022

but took to my dealer and they added it to the build sheet and he said it does not expire now as long as it is in the computer.
Now, if my truck did come in last week like it was suppose to have and I got the coupon after delivery then I would not be able to use it

that's actually fast....February for delivery means it is made in late December or early January

I ordered 11/26, received emails from ford but my build date is 2/12/22, build week 2/7, tracker shows confirmed but dealer can pull the additional details.

if yours is eta late feb then it is probably built or in production now

Can’t believe a couple dealers in western Canada are trying to Sell 2021 tremor above msrp……not too many updates here today guess the crowd is upset delivery dates are pushed out

It just went into production today via the ford tracker! So they must still be building the current orders. I wonder how many are going to be backed up waiting on that last chip.....

Does anyone know how they shelter these trucks waiting on chips?

Open parking lots, just like the dealership, they have them gated off usually based on the photos I saw from last year where they were waiting on chips.

My biggest fear is that ours will sit in a lot and once chips come in they go to the ones coming off the line. It would certainly be less efficient to go out to the lots and start finding trucks that need chips than ot would be to just finish a truck coming off the line.
Maybe they will have a crew dedicated just to putting chips in the lot trucks?

I like to think they have it figured out by now. The chip shortage has been going on for a while. I'm sure they would want to get chips in the trucks that are guaranteed to be sold and shipped ASAP to keep cash flow going. It sucks, but it is what it is. We just need to be patient and don't sell a vehicle from under yourselves until your truck shows up.

Well put. The cash flow idea makes sense and I would agree.
About not selling a vehicle under yourself - too late for me. I got the extended timeline info on Friday and my truck was sold 12 hours later.

Have you told them they can expect to take delivery by 5/5/22? Seems to work for Ford 😑

Hopefully you get delivery much quicker than the new quotes, I know a handful of folks are in the same position and it sucks.

Novel idea - I'm a little worried about used car values in the future so I took the $6k over KBB and ran. I've got a work truck to drive in the mean time so my position isn't as bad as others.

It will be interesting to see in the coming weeks, who gets their special order trucks and if any of them were after the Jan 10th build date. I would think that one with a later build date could get shipped sooner if it required less chips. For instance, a 401a w/out trailer tow package with a 1/24 build date could get shipped sooner than a 401a w/ trailer tow with a 1/10 build date.
