Leveling Kit

Looks like these measurements are with your new tires. Did you take any with the stock tires? or center of hub to fender? When you say it will rub off roading, what will it hit? The crash bars? Your truck and the stone gray one with bronze wheels are on the top of my list. Thanks for all the pics and measurements .
Hey Fozzy,

Stock Front was 38.6”
Leveled Front now 42”

Factory Tires 33.2”
Current Tires 34.7”
So diameter is 1.5” so radius would raise truck 0.75”

Level/tires added a total 3.4” minus 0.75” from increased tire radius would estimate that the RC kit increased height by 2.65” which is spot on RC advertising a 2.5” gain. Hope this helps

As for clearance, there is approx 0.75-1” from tire and bumper as well as front crash bars at full lock. If full lock and articulated off road I think will rub. I’ll get some photos this week to show what/where I am talking about

Adding a daytime shot to see “after” pic better
Plus to see poke of a 20x9 +19 wheel

Retrax bed cover - very happy with how low profile it sits and the tract feels higher quality then the “Roll N Lock” one I had on my last truck…in case anyone was considering one

Thanks everyone! Def love the outcome
Just got home and unloaded the bed to measure.
42” front
43 1/4” rear

Remember I did NOT install the rear block to drop an inch, but I think the slight rake is perfect and dead level when you have gear or materials in the bed like a truck should occasionally 😀

Faktor34 - These 35x12.50 will def rub if really wheeling it hard. I have my Bronco for that, so I decided to push the tire size knowing this will be only on some trails, sand/beach, and some mud, but nothing too crazy planned.

For those looking to wheel this hard, I would recommend a 295/70r18 or 295/60r20 as going to a 34x12 tire should give you the room needed.

More review to come on the RC kit after a few miles on it, but just driving home it felt identical to stock for ride comfort. (Seriously) could not tell the difference except sitting higher and a little MT tire humming, but these Geolanders pretty nice given such an aggressive thread. Def quieter than Toyo MT but a little louder than Nitto Ridge Grappler
I put the 295/70/18's in my cart based on your advice with rubbing and am looking to install on stock rims. I am concerned about road noise.
Is it much louder than stock Grabber's? I currently don't notice any noise from Grabbers, so I would say Grabbers are a 2 out of 10 on noise scale where would you place these?

After you get some time today with new suspension id like to know how you are feeling about the RC struts. If you really like them I will order them as well for my install next week.

Thanks for all your sharing and feedback , it is very helpful.

I had the 2.5" RC Tremor lift (kept existing rear blocks) + 35/12.50/r18 Pro Comp AT Sport tires installed yesterday on stock tremor wheels. I love the lift but am having the tires swapped tomorrow as the Pro Comp tires measure shorter 34" and narrower 11.8" than anticipated vs Toyo AT3 35/12.50/r18.

Y'all's trucks look freaking awesome! I see a lot of concern from peeps on here about the durability of the RC kit.

I'm definitely not the most knowledgeable about lifts and such, but isn't a coil over system supposed to be better for the truck than the leveling pucks?

I'm supposed to take delivery in a few weeks and definitely want to make the right decision, so any advice between the two types would be greatly appreciated!

I purchased the same tires and was supposed to have installed today but delayed and decided I am going with

the Yokohama GEOLANDAR MT G003 based off TremorTX13's install/review yesterday.

RC Tremor Leveling Kit (Strut) has been fantastic thus far (mine was installed this Monday the 21st of FEB) and like most have said, I did not have the rear lowering blocks installed. Per RC, if you use the Tremor OE wheels (R18) then a 35x12.5 is the target tire, without needing to cut/trim or worry about rubbing. Change rim size, offset, or go bigger and you will need to test or adjust.

It's not the fact that it's a coilover, because yes you are right they are much better than a puck, etc. The problem is it looks as if they had just repurposed a previous coilover, and RC has in the past had some questionable durability issues. For example I ran RC shocks on an Isuzu trooper in the early 2000's , I snapped 3 rear shocks in half while 4wheeling. I know I can be a bit rough on stuff but this occurred in less than a yrs time. I also am aware they have gotten better at things since then. Most are just referencing fox etc. because they are the gold standard, best of the best at this time. Things change though, but Fox and King have been at the top for a very long time and that's why people question anything else.

Here is the problem with Rough Country. They have been around for a long time and are known for their budget products. I have been living the lifted life for 35 years and anyone that has been around all know about their $h!T ride poor quality and design. I had a 6” RC on a Dodge truck and the puck literally rusted and collapsed in place. The old joke was. There are three reasons to buy RC, 1. it’s cheap, 2. It’s cheap, 3. I don’t know any better. The stink is hard to wipe off and RC has been trying really hard to change their reputation. RC has really stepped their game up while still trying to offer a budget product. Their Vertex line of shock are getting great reviews for half the price of a Fox. I think they offer a 3 year warranty and everyone has been giving them good reviews so far. Like I said, the stink of the past is hard to get rid of. Puck vs Coilover ? IMO if you are constantly off roading and over extending and compressing your suspension. The coilover is the way to go. If not the puck is totally fine if not to tall. I wouldn’t do anything over the 2.5” until we really know what is different about the Tremor.

I went another route via the good people at my local ORW shop. I used stock spring on Eibach pro truck struts set at the upper ring which end result was close to 2.5" and pro rears. The truck rides so much better without being too firm. And all in with tax, labor, parts, and alignment $1200

Funny, I do like the spring that came with the pro 2.0 but for the ride, that preload was too much and I lost all droop.

I did like it at 1/2" lift. It increased my articulation about 1/2" up and down

Looks great!!!! How does the ride compare to stock? Firmer? Does it feel as damped? Thanks!
Just my subjective opinion, but I think it rides better than stock. Coming from a Gen 2 Raptor with sport mode steering on full-time, the Tremor felt a little looser off the lot, but the RC kit did not negatively impact steering or perceived handling in any <noticeable> way.

Thanks for the reply guys!

Anyone end up with the auto spring 2.5 kit yet? My local shops won't mess with the Procomp because it's not "specifically approved" for the Tremor

I think you will be happy with the G003 tires. They are a very aggressive MT, and put about 200 miles on them today. Quiet for an MT, but def hear them vs stock and louder than Nitto RG I had on last truck. Interesting though you hear the hum more at 35-55 MPH but then at 70+ MPH they are somehow quieter it seems. So if you do a lot of highway miles, this is a great MT and ride well, better than Toyo MT and closer to a Duratracs IMO. No issues with the RC coilovers so far, ride is similar to stock I believe.

I have no doubt there will be better, more expensive lift options made for the Tremor in the future, but RC seems to get the job done and I’ll likely have a new truck in 24+/- months so I think it should hold up just fine.
