So, what’s the performance loss with the RC kit? I’m new to this game.

Probably not any loss, especially if it gets good ride reports. If you install the rear blocks you loose 1.25" of height in the rear. This is a positive to some and others will skip this step.

I wasn’t very familiar with the BDS kit but just spent a few minutes researching. Would you the the $2,300 4 kit, or the $4,300 4 kit with coil overs?
It says 8-10 hours labor which I was thinking if BDS had some type of holiday sale and could get 10% off on $2,300 kit with install of $1200 be around $3,750 out the door and have a better quality kit with a warranty and do it once instead of first doing the 2.5 pro comp for an extra $750 with labor and still end up doing the BDS kit.

If I go with the BDS kit I will go with the Fox coilovers with the additional DSC valving. I think its another $500.00 on top of the coilover kit. You can buy and add the coilovers to the standard kit at anytime. My heart ache with the kit is cutting the frame. It's permanent and can't be welded back together. Plus you have to use an 18" or 20" wheel with proper BS to clear the lift knuckls. If my truck even showed shipped, I would order just the 4" lift coilovers with DSC from BDS and see if they would work without the diff drop. And if they didn't just order the diff drop lift and go all in, get the offset wheels I want and have a bigger truck than I want, but have truly usable 35's. But my goal is to build a do it all truck, tow the boat, overland, go to the mall and run the dessert. Diff dropped truck look cool, but loose a lot off roading. I hope Ford surprises us with the Raptor R can tow 10K and have 2K payload

Looking at purchasing and installing the RC kit and won't be changing rear blocks. A little rake isn't so bad. I'm under the impression that the coilovers are the 3" (or is it 3.5?) from RC for 21's? Trying to avoid buying parts I don't need. Also looking to run 305/70/R18 or 295/70/18 KO2's/similar tire on stock rims. I am at sea for another 2 weeks and will most likely sit here and see how it works for everyone else prior to ordering. Anyone DIYing this?

Gotcha, I did not know it requires permanent frame modifications. Knowing that I’m most likely not going to be doing that. I bought my leadfoot 2 weeks ago used with 6k miles to hold me over till my special order Tremor is built and delivered which I have a feeling might be over 6+ months. I received order email 3 weeks ago and nothing since which is common and might not receive any update for another month or two, or three

. I wanted to lift the current tremor but don’t want to make any permanent modifications or spend BIG $’s until I know for sure if I’m going to be getting my new truck or keeping this one. I prefer leadfoot color but wanted the torsion front slip and work surface and received the good 4% under costs on new tremor order from Chapman. I think I’ll just do my scheduled Pro-comp scheduled lift this coming Wednesday and enjoy that for now and see what happens as the year progresses. I’m about an hour from Uwharrie and am looking forward to running those trails throughout the year. I hope the 2.5 Pro comp makes trailing more capable than stock, I don’t believe someone as ran a trail before and after to share the results. That Raptor R will be a beast but I can’t get a vehicle that requires Premium gas when I can get Regular gas covered thru my job. I’d lose a $600+ monthly benefit and add another $200-$300 more on top for price of gas difference. That’s why I passed up the TRX was the Premium gas requirement.

I’m scheduled to have my lift installed this Wednesday and am looking for feedback on the 2.5 inch Pro Comp leveling kit from those that have had it a bit.
Is there any noticeable bottoming out ever during city driving, potholes, large speed bump etc.
Have you taken it off roading and if so how did it perform?
Any performance improvements or loss?
Any other feedback please share, thanks!

I have a feeling before long you will see Tremor specific coilovers or at least a suitable setup that allows full use of travel while being able to run 35s. RC has already came up with one solution.

Hey natef, my RC coilover kit will be installed tomorrow so I’ll get you some feedback before you get back to help with your decision on what route to take.

As for install, Local Ford dealer will install so that’s it’s under warranty.

I’m attempting 35x12.50 on a 20x9 +19 offset, so if these clear either of the two tires you mentioned should no problem, especially the 295/70

Found this on IG. Ready Lift 3.5 SST kit. I had one on my 16’ F-150 Platinum and it rode like garbage and just made alignment specs.

I'm totally with you on this.
I want to make sure what I put on the truck is quality and wont harm the works. But man I want that level look sooner than later. I think I'm going to get something for the short term and save up for some quality coil overs once things get a little better established and I can make sense of the different heights on the tremor as compared to other F150s.
I'm thinking either the Pro Comps or the Auto Springs. The Auto Springs are tempting because I can do them myself.. which really brings the price point down.

Update: Just purchased the Auto Spring Offset 2.5. Will post pictures when I'm done with it.

RC Tremor kit install all done and I think it looks fantastic... and it rides great!!! The re-alignment went perfect and I think it rides even better than stock now. Note: I did not install the rear lowering blocks so there is still 1.5” diff between back and front, but it’s not really noticeable IMHO.

I'll probably follow in your footsteps when my truck gets here. I plan on sticking with 33s though i may swap out the general grabbers for something with stronger side walls

i feel like the amount of effort required to move up to 35s is not worth it currently, i'd rather just move from an F150 Tremor to a F250 Tremor after next years redesign (assuming i even get my F150 Tremor before then)
