Ok so it sounds like these may be an option after all if they are indeed an inch longer than current coilovers, that's sound like a good start. Let us know if you can all measurements with standard and with the rc's. Length at full droop, etc.

It would be nice to get the length of a non-Tremor 14 Gen strut to compare with what Yeti has measured.

I’m getting RC coil kit installed by Mac Haik Ford (Austin, TX) next Tuesday so I’ll take some good before/after pics. Ford said they will warranty the work and quoted $1009 for kit, install, alignment.

I know a little more expensive than an off road shop or DIY, but willing to pay a few extra bucks to have dealer stand behind it.

Also Ordered 20x9 Fuel Rebels (black) and 35x12.50r20 Geolander MTs from Discount Tire today, so fingers crossed they fit?! Will likely remove crash bars if needed. Gonna try the +1 offset since the +20 was back ordered. Little more poke likely than preferred, but had heart set on those wheels for awhile so will give them a shot.

AutoSpring released Tremor specific kits, so just throwing these out there for additional options:

My dealer wouldn't install a kit unless it was "approved" for the Tremor so the Pro Comp 2.5" was a no-go for me. Waiting on the AS kit to get here.

So with the RC struts using the stock mounting point it sounds like this might be a show-stopper for them...

I think you’ll need to remove or cut crashbars. Tried a 305/70R18 with a 2.5” leveling kit with some Icon Compressions with a +6mm offset and had rub on front and rear crash bars.

I got the kit sitting here just got to find the time to get it on.

Rough Country specialist I talked to made it clear the kit required their blocks to be properly installed, so I likely will have them installed to ensure that it really is "almost" level (think it'll be off .25-.5" between back and front).

Now, can RC force you to do it? Nope.

Could RC avoid any warranty issues if you didn't? Maybe (though they are usually very good about their products when "properly installed").

I'm sure if I was regularly towing 8-10k lbs down the highway, some rake would be preferred for max MPG... but that's not my goal (I'd have gone the Platinum route to pull a sled full time).

I am just not a fan of the "Carolina Squat" look and the 4.5" factory rake (although the reverse of a full-time squat) just didn't look finished to me either.

Having said that, do what makes you happy with your ride... I wanted a proper lift/level for eventual bigger "shoes".

Basically for me the rear blocks would not be used, when you tow or carry a load you would get to much squat and I would not like the front end being higher than the rear end, and at 6k it's about a 2.5" drop on the rear maybe slightly more.

And a question for those more knowledgeable: Since that autospring kit manages to make a 2.5" front lift work with an offset to the strut mounting point, should the RC kit run into the same problem of spring hitting control arm at full droop does anyone make non-lifting offset strut mounts we could attempt to use?

I’m really thinking about just doing the auto spring offset spacer for now and within a couple years once the dust settles with all the options and uncertainty…I can then make a better informed decision on what to get strut wise.

Their reasoning is that to get it dead level without any rake you have to put their blocks in otherwise you wind up with some rake, which is good for me.

You would want new UCA's, not a strut mount.

Most custom coilover setups the springs are wrapped tighter to the shock body for this reason. Factory springs are a lot bigger and loosely wrapped. I don't know if you will get this luxury on a budget coilover like the RC. Adding a longer overall strut length also causes the clearance issues. Most high end kits come with UCA's to help with clearance and alignment. If the RC Coilovers do hit you can get a quality UCA from ICON, SPC and even RC has them.

Mac Haik Austin (really in a Georgetown just North). Sounds like they are doing this same kit for a 2nd Tremor next week as well so guess my truck will unfortunately be the Guinea pig

If you are doing aftermarket wheels, would recommend a +18 or +20 per the research I’ve done and some great post from others on this forum. I actually went to Discount Tire and changed the Fuel 20x9 set I ordered from a +1 to a +20 for best chance of fitting a 35 inch tire. Will know this time next week if it all works. Fingers crossed?!…..

I ordered the Autospring 2.5" offset lift spacer just to measure the total height of the spacer. Since it does not use the preload spacer like the Pro Comp kit it will be simple math to see the total hight needed in length to gain 2.5" of lift.
