Leveling Kit

I’m running the Stage 3 Motorsport 2.3” leveling kit. It is made by Auto Spring and works great. All my alignment numbers were in spec and everything works fine. Contemplating putting a shorter block in the back to get closer to dead level.
That looks awesome. I’d suggest putting some rear wheel well liners in and then decide if you want to lower the rear.

Any trimming involved?

Had to run to work when my buddy was trimming. I know the front crash bar was trimmed, looks like we still have the back one in place. I get a slight rub when full-lock in reverse. U-turns seems to be fine.

I’ve been searching and searching the web to see if anyone has installed the Icon coil overs to see what real world “lift” measurements are… anyone found the number other than the 0-1.25” the supply houses are advertising?

That 1.25" is what icon says, I would say that's about spot on or might be a little over the actual lift based on some others that have been tried.

I emailed ICON several times and they don't seem to have the exact geometry of the Tremor, but figure it has around 1.00"-1.50" of extra ride height in the strut. They don't recommend going over 2.5" total or maxing out any preload on any coilover. You are going to have to be the test subject and let us know. If it would raise the front like the RC kit I would be all over a full ICON set up. I think the 2.5" with the stock rear blocks look perfect.

Did you get your install done today?
I did! Didn’t pick up till after dark so don’t have any pics as of yet. I will say suspension feels 100% as it did before lift, just approximately 3.5 inches taller between auto spring kit and 35/12.50/on stock 18’ rims. I’m very happy with the drive, and very surprised how quiet the tires are for such a big, aggressive MT. 10 out of 10 rating for my first 45 minute drive last night. I’ll update with pics later today. Also I will say I was impressed by the build quality and weight of the auto spring kit, they are beefy/ sturdy parts. The online pics and design do not do it justice, it’s pretty robust and solid. To be continued……..

Awesome! Looking forward to the pics......Now I just have to find someone that will install one for me.

I hope this is the case. I recently ordered the 2.5" level with offset from S3M by auto springs. I will update after install in a few weeks.

Looking for help here…had RC leveling kit installed today (front and rear) and received a vm from ford that the “driver side cv axle joint came apart during install.” They said it’s still functional but are ordering a new one and will replace it. They said it’s perfectly fine to drive in the meantime. I picked it up right before close and didn’t have a chance to talk to the guy that installed it. Is this a big issue?

Installer error, and I think its great your tech would admit to having it come apart and offer a new one. They can be put back together, but never seem the same. Then add the extra deflection of the lift on the CV's. It does suck for you to have to go back another day. But I am very impressed they admitted to it and offered a solution. It could last as long as the one that didn't come apart, its a crap shoot on how they go back together.

You guys that leveled the truck, what's the height up front now? I park in a garage every day for work that's 7' clearance, like most around here. It's already really close now, I think the stock height is 83". Wondering if I can level and still make it in.

After the level the tallest point on the truck is still the black fins behind the sunroof... which on my truck still measures under 83"

Fozzy - Really appreciate the reply, makes me feel a little better. I’ll try to post a pic or two of the truck this afternoon.

Thanks again.
