Leveling Kit

You guys that leveled the truck, what's the height up front now? I park in a garage every day for work that's 7' clearance, like most around here. It's already really close now, I think the stock height is 83". Wondering if I can level and still make it in.
Hey Cranbery, on Ford’s site it shows the cab height at 79.3” (attached) Where did you see 83”? Unless that extra 4” is the fin antenna?

The RC kit raised my truck 2.65” and then another 1” for increased tires (35 vs 33) but radius is 1” increase.

So my math would be 79.3” stock plus 3.7” for lift and tires, is 83” total. This would give you only 1” clearance on a 7’ (84”) garage.

Oh nice, I thought I had read 83" - am going to confirm it either way to be safe. Looks like I can fit a slight level though. Don't know if I want true 35s - love the look but will rape my mileage and road noise.

I’m running the Stage 3 Motorsport 2.3” leveling kit. It is made by Auto Spring and works great. All my alignment numbers were in spec and everything works fine. Contemplating putting a shorter block in the back to get closer to dead level.
Do you have a head on photo? Just curious about how much poke you have with the -12 offset

McTagger, here is a +19 offset w/ 35x12.5r20 so you can compare. Also added a couple pics side by side with a stock Tremor too see difference.

If I were to do it again, I would go +1 on these same wheels as I saw a truck at dealership with that setup and it looked perfect IMO, but I was concerned about clearance as mine barely fit with zero rub and zero trimming with the +19.

Thanks and hope this helps, good luck with your tire/wheel selection!

I’m right at 82 with the highest point being those 2 black caps on the rear of roof and my garage is 83 but the little 1/2 concrete lip is there as entering the garage so I would never do it nor do I plan on doing it as my golf cart takes up that space.

yes sir. with the 35x12.50r18 I did trim the front crash bar and get a slight rub when turning in reverse. I'll take a look this weekend if some minor trimming elminates i

Thanks, I’m looking for what wheels I’d like to go with, it’s a time consuming process.

Anyone have a consensus on what coilover kits work right now? Would rather spend the extra money to level that way and have a better ride/performance if possible.

The only confirmed is the RC, a couple of others state they will work but with only 1.25- 1.5" of lift. I know icon was one of them don't remember the other.

I spoke to RC about their kit and walked away with the impression that their strut is no better about as good as stock from their employee’s opinion. I didn’t want to possibly end up replacing a stock part with a less inferior part to gain my 2.5 lift so I opted for the Auto spring 2.5 and it feels just as bouncy and responsive as stock only higher. RC has a history of product failures from what I read so I feel good about my decision. If there was a $1200 to $1500 option I would of gone straight to that. I’m not looking to drop $4-$5k on suspension.

RC back in late 90's- early 2k we're not that great, they have improved since, but if they had offered it in their Vertex series I might have had to try them, but I'll hold out till someone offers a higher end version for these trucks. JMO I figure with luck I can get about 10 months outta these tires, by then I hope other options are available.

As soon as my truck shows "built" and there are not any new options by then and no one else has tried them. I will probably go with the Vertex on all four corners and try it out. They are pretty cheap and have been getting great reviews. I have a feeling I will end up with the 6" BDS to get the height I want and run the coils a little shorter anyway. The Gen15's will probably be ready to order with the rear coil springs suspension before my truck ships.

I'm sorry you guys are having such a hard time getting your trucks. Just glad I have a friend who hooked me up with mine, there's only been 3 delivered to the dealers here in this area and all 3 sold within a couple of hours, 1 guy drove over from Charlotte, NC another guy drove up from Knoxville, TN. I got the call when mine came in and offered to help unload it I got there so quick, but it wasn't an ordered truck it was dealer stock. They offered me another $1000 off if I would let them hold it for a week to display it.

I think the Vertex might be a decent option and really wish RC would make it a Tremor confirmed fit, then I would probably give them another try.

Ya, a bunch of us got the short end of the "chip". Tremors are coming off the assembly line right now and heading out while ours sit in a lot waiting for better weather to go install the chips.

My take on the Vertex is the 3" lift part number that is now the 2.5" part number for the Tremor has the Vertex upgraded 3" shock available. All the measurements work out and I may be able to squeeze another 0.25"-0.50" with the preload. The Fox have a range of 4"-6". We need 3"-4" standard F-150 shocks that no one makes because you can't run 4" without a diff drop and 3.5" kills ride and CV's. Baja Kit shot me down. One of my last ditch efforts is Falcon is local to me and we have a laydown yard real close to their shop. I may be able to pay to have a one off built and test them out. They don't do anything really special with their valve stacks and dampening. The RC Vertex's just keep being the best option as of today. And they are relatively cheap. Can pick up all four for less than $2K. Forum guy was saying you can get all of them for $1,500.00 when they come on sale.

What are the others? I actually prefer a smaller lift, not looking for true 35s just a little bigger than stock, I want 18s for wheels, and less height is better for going in and out of the parking garages at work. I don't mind ~2" of rake.

That sounds like a sweet set up, I’ll send the Ford people an email to speed up your production lol.
