Leveling Kit

Has anyone installed a 2” leveling kit yet?

I am trying to figure out which parts to order to be able to get rid of the crazy rake on day 1.
I saw a guy who put Fox 2.5 on it and achieved a level. He told me he knowingly gave up overall suspension travel to achieve it and doesn't plan on off-roading his truck. It wasn't a part meant for the Tremor, just something universal that "they got to work".

From what I have been able to find the standard 150 parts will fit the tremor with the same restrictions.

It seems like most kits are in the 1.5” to 2.5” range. Does anyone know the limits of the front axle shaft angles? At what point of lift / spacer do you need to start worrying about going to far?

Spacers become a problem when the suspension is used to it's full travel capabilities because the you are changing the parts meant to bear the weight and stress and transferring it to parts that aren't designed for it. I've broken enough parts that were the correct fitment off-roading that I'm not going to chance lowering that threshold even more. It's not that I care about the cost of breaking parts, but being stranded up in the woods just plain sucks.

For most trucks, when you go over 3", you really need to start changing other parts to correct the geometry regardless of the type of lift.

I dunno, if ford warrantees the suspension with pro comp pucks, I would imagine the extra travel and parts were designed for that

My Tremor is 38.75” (front) and 43.75” (rear”.
I don’t know how a 2.5” kit will level a 5” rake.

Oh man, 5” factory rake! What is Ford doing to us?! A 2.5” kit will probably give it enough of a bump up to still sit leveled when loaded down.

where does Ford show that the 2.5 kit is covered under warrantee?

That was something the guy who had it installed mentioned. Definitely speak with Ford about it.

For that rake, I'm hoping some weight will drop it enough to reduce the rake. if you're not towing, maybe remove the rear block (keeping it somewhere safe) and replace the U bolts

One Ford dealership doing it is also very different than being sanctioned by Ford themselves. Dealers just want to sell trucks and if the customer wants it leveled, most will figure out a way, not necessarily in the best interest of the customer.

you mean the dealership is warantying the pucks as opposed to Ford?

I haven't seen anything official from Ford saying they were warrantied. The only media blast I've seen Ford announce was for the Fox 2.0 kit.

That said, I don't really care about it being warrantied, I'm just more concerned with breaking something out in the field because of the choice. There is nothing special about the spacer, so if that one works, others with the same height would have the same results. Seems weird Ford would only sanction one.

I was thinking it made sense with their "Accessory branding" and push. i.e. Pro Comp pays ford to be a "licensed" accessory provider. How else would Pro Comp be supported? :)

I'll see if I can't find the exact links to that warranty convo.

I guess I just couldn't find it! I found the convo that P0H0 posted about it, where the dealer said warrantied by Ford, but I haven't found that backed up anywhere. If they have, I wonder if it's because this particular one is using a combination of spring preload and strut spacer.

Also not found on the Ford Accessories webpage.

I contacted Pro Comp and they said they do not recommend using their 2.5” level kit as it may cause damage to the suspension components on the Tremor. Waiting on a proper coil over myself.
Makes sense. Tremor wasn't listed on the website for that part and all of the other 2021 models were. I completely agree on waiting for a proper coilover.

My dealer installed a 2" leveling kit before I took it home. It was an aftermarket kit but not sure which brand. It was a spacer. The rake is much better. They also changed my tires and I went with a 295/70. It looks awesome! No issues thus far but only about 300 miles on it. Anyone interested in my factory tires????

Post a pic

Tagging in on this. Is the rake really that bad? I have yet to see one of these in person. I was hoping there wouldn’t be enough to need a leveling kit.
I saw this one at my local dealer. Every picture and video I've seen make the "rake" look terrible, in person it didn't look that bad. I would still want to level it but it's not something I will rush out to do

Were they able to fit a 295/70 on the spare?

Yeah that looks like 5” but the angle of the photos and composition don’t show it well.
