Leveling Kit

DDDoug,

U are the only one who has mentioned needing a cam set. My suspension company up here in Riverside said that they have never installed a level that didn’t require a cam set too. They quoted me $485 for everything w/o cam set & $90 more if it requires it… It confused me because the directions say the AS will only require a “toe adjustment“ & I don’t know much about alignments or level kits.

Did they give you a reason for the requirement & not just the toe adjustment? Just trying to understand as much as poss before my install on the 21st.. Thanks
Heres a shot of the cams installed. I think the set is the bolt and the plate that slides under it.
This is the passenger side rear toe/camber adjustment bolt.
Not sure how you take it off if you ever need to, but there you are.

Doug,
Thanks for the explanation & pic. Yep, I was thinking the same thing about the “must have” cam set & conflicting info🤦🏻‍♂️ Just another way for someone to get money out of me… This helps a lot & I will do some more homework until the install on Thursday. Thanks again 🍻

Is this S3M auto spring 2.5 offset kit now being considered preferable to Pro Comp 2.5 (62206)? I'm not a suspension guy, but liked idea of the lift not ALL being accomplished with the strut spacer.

I'm not gentle with my vehicles on truck roads.

I'm really not sure about it being "superior". I think spreading the weight above and below is probably better mechanically.
My use case is specific. I am going to use this spacer until things get a little more settled in the market and better options get out there. Also I want to use up my Ford shocks a bit.
The plan for me is to get some Fox or Falcons in 2 years when I would usually replace the shocks. I just wanted to get rid of the rake in the mean time. Kind of a stop gap measure for me.
I'm going to take her easy on the trails.

I’m a pretty new member but being in this board will be the death of my bank account. I broke down and ordered the AS 2.0 level, does anyone here recommend a quality place in/around Kansas City? My truck has less than 100 miles on it, so I want it done right. Thanks all

The actual Ford dealer (Tri State Ford) in Maryville, MO has a solid rep. It’s about an hour and a half from North Kansas City.

RC Tremor kit install all done and I think it looks fantastic... and it rides great!!! The re-alignment went perfect and I think it rides even better than stock now. Note: I did not install the rear lowering blocks so there is still 1.5” diff between back and front, but it’s not really noticeable IMHO.
Any thoughts on putting 35’s on those stock rims?

Anyone up for trying these out? They should be about a 2" lift and I've heard people say good things about the Vertex line.
I would give them a go but I'm not sold enough to cancel my month old order with Icon.

FYI… Just checked these out and it says doesn’t fit 2021 or 22.

It's my understanding, which could be wrong because this isn't my field of expertise, but companies are saying they don't fit because of our factory lift. That being said, they still can it just won't give the 3" that it states, hence the "it doesn't fit" stuff. @Yeti is waaaayyyy more knowledgeable on this though.

But it has been confirmed that *SOME* stuff that "doesn't fit" actually does, your numbers are just different.

yeah, it's the "tremor" part your query is failing on. i.e. they haven't tried them on a tremor, yet. or they have and it doesn't work. From a measurement standpoint, I would be willing to try them out if I didn't already have Icon's on order.

So I just got off the phone with RC. He checked and said "it will not fit" due to the strut mount being different. I thought all f150s shared the same strut mount for 21/22

Thanks for confirming. I am a newbie and really appreciate all the info and knowledge you and others provide. This place seems to have a great group of people. I just got my 22 Tremor 2 weeks ago and so far am loving it. Thanks again!

That seems odd… as the “new” RC tremor kit with the lowering block uses the 3” level front strut from a 2015-2020 f150 🤔

I am pretty sure the strut mount is the same. You would think that RC would know this since they are the only ones with a "Tremor" replacement strut, that has already been confirmed to be the exact same part that is marketed for the other F150s

Call again…if you get a different person, you’ll probably get a different answer. 😂

I’m almost as disappointed in the fact that there still isn’t a Tremor specific suspension level as I was when I discovered it had a ridiculous 5” factory rake.

It seems it's more about the reservoir than the coilover. Bit it doesn't make sense, to me

Hmmm is it because the reservoir is top mounted and doesn't allow clearance for the articulation, can it be mounted elsewhere, or is it strictly top mounted?
