Leveling Kit

For those that have also put in a smaller block in the rear (like the RC kit comes with), has anyone done it on their own by just sourcing a regular F150 rear block, and if so, did you just use the current u-bolts?

*I realize it is not recommended to reuse ubolts, but was wondering if the threads on the stock setup go down far enough so that they can be used with a smaller block.

Any obvious reason/s, besides my wife, I shouldn’t blow my wad on this previous gen Fox 2.5 adjustable setup? Less lift I’m aware of, but I read of a guy on FB running them with success. Growing further impatient and starting to doubt if ever we will get more Tremor specific setups to choose from.
Pulled the trigger. Received my Icon kit yesterday. Will maybe attempt this weekend. My garage is kind of on the down slope then goes flat so truck can't really make it in. May have to do outside of garage. Have to figure out the torque specs too on all the bolts. They provide great instructions, but I think it just states per Factory spec and not actual numbers. I have plan B set for next week Wed. lol. I know I have to get alignment anyway. I will take measurements of before and after height. From Hub also. I think true exact rake I got was 3-3/4. I will also probably just take measurements of the actual struts too. Will update.

Badass which Icon setup did you go with? Seems they’re not so readily available where did you purchase from?

Stage 3 w/ Billet UCA. I reached out to ICON directly, but they said they were backordered on most kits like 22-26 weeks or so. They advised best chance is to maybe find one of their distributors that may have them in stock. The nice lady at ICON gave me info on a couple of Distributors outside of Hawaii since the shops here kind of drag on things. I ended up picking mine up from SDHQ Motorsports. I think they are located in Arizona. I don't think have a number to call but you can contact them via their website. https://sdhqoffroad.com/
They respond within a day. They said they only had the ICON stage 2 & 3 at the time and didn't know when they would be getting more stock on the other stages, but they do have them on order. I was actually surprised they had stock and just jumped on them. Ordered this past Monday and received them yesterday. 3-4 days to Honolulu isn't bad at all. They are pricey and shipping cost wasn't fun either, but they did have them discounted almost $200.00 from what retail was showing on ICON's website. Not sure what ICON parts are going for nowadays. I believe they still have stock but I know they had double check and get back to me on what they had in stock before shipping them out.

@Rxm488, I’ve been emailing Anthony at Falcon and he says their kit is a generic kit for ‘21+ F-150s and would probably only provide 1”-1.5” of lift on the Tremor. Can you confirm how much lift you got out of this kit?
I didn’t do a before measurement but from the ground to the top of the fender is now just over 41 inches. My tires are also taller now 315 75 70s now. The truck is now pretty much exactly level maybe an inch of rake left.

Mine has exactly 3-3/4 inches of rake so if you’re only an inch lower in the front, you probably got around 2-3/4 inches of lift. That’s great! Could you confirm the height on both front and rear went parked on level ground? Sorry to keep bugging you about this, but I sure appreciate the help.

Looks perfect. Solid Tremor. I am confident my rims and tires on the way will fit now. I did attempt mine this weekend and had the front wheels off, but wife had other plans. Will have them installed this Wednesday for sure and update. What is your height in front now? More than the advertised 1.25"?

Looks great!

Are those method 701s? How do you like them? I ordered them in the bronze.

That looks like just shy of a 2" lift, to me. are they expecting that to settle some?
I am considering swapping out the tires and wheels, should I level the truck 1st or after? ( Auto spring 2 1/2” ) Sorry for the lame question but I’m new to lifting a truck. Thanks.

@Rxm488: It looks like you now have about a 1-1/4" rake after the Falcon install. Do you have the trailer tow package option? Wondering about the rear height compared to mine. If yours has the tow package, my calculations estimate that you got a 2-1/2" lift out of the Falcon kit. This is exactly what I'm hoping for. I'd like to know exactly how much lift @tblopa got out of the ICON kit. @tblopa: What is your current height front and rear?

Personally I would level it first so you can see what lift you get. You will notice that every kit out there states the avg. lift height that their kit will net because all trucks are a bit different even from the factory. You could buy a 2.5" kit and end up with 2.2" or so. Plus, if you want to go bigger tires its hard to install those before lifting. But if you lift first and then put the tires on you can make sure they fit.

Years ago (like 30 years ago) I purchased new wheels and tires for a Jeep. Put the lift on over the weekend and took it to Discount on Mon. for the 33's that everyone assured would fit with a 4" lift. Well, technically they fit, but no chance in going offroad anymore. Took it back to Discount the next day and they swapped out the tires for some 32's on a slightly narrower wheel.

I appreciate your response, that sounds like a good plan. Thank you!

Just got back my truck after getting the 2.5” Auto Spring leveling kit installed. I purchased the kit directly from AS and paid $129 (with shipping). I’m mentioning this because I did see the same kit priced at approximately $115 on the Stage 3 site - after I placed my order with AS. So for what it’s worth a guy could save a little cash if Stage 3 still offers that price. While talking to AS they suggested to install the kit and drive it ‘around the block’ to make sure the front end settles before doing the alignment - which I did. The install took less then 2 hours and with the alignment my total was $475 (all parts and labor) Money well spent IMO. As everyone has said-So far the ride quality has not changed and the look and feel is great. I hope this helps some of you guys that are on the fence.

Looks good. Can you post a pic of your CVs and their angles? I plan to do this same kit if my truck ever gets built.

Looks great, I’m planning on getting the same kit installed if my truck ever gets out of the chip hold. Just curious, did you have the dealership install the kit or a somewhere else?
