What's new

Stock wheels or aftermarket. Can’t decide

Any of you boys looking to sell your stock Tremor wheels/take off's? Looking for stock '21/22 Tremor wheels. The gunmetal/carbon gray is preferred, but also interested in black.
I will be putting mine up for sale in ~2 weeks when my new set is on. About 5k miles on the tires, wheels like new (ceramic coated too). Set of 4. Miami, FL, will ship if you pay shipping.

$1200 + shipping

Alright....after much back and forth and not knowing wtf is going on I've decided on these:

Probably more poke than I want because of the 9" wheel but we'll see. Idw to trim is my issue so I'm going to pair it with a 2.3" or more level in hopes that works.....

You can look at my previous pics of my 17x9" wheels with +12mm poke. With a -12mm offset you will poke out about 1 inch further than my setup.

These are 0. That's as close as I could get to yours with a wheel I liked. So hoping for a little less than .5" more. The flares should still cover the back entirely with the "mud flap" really just worried about rubbing/which tires to use now. These threads have gotten so long its hard to find stuff lol.

Haha...gotcha! I missed the offset on the webpage. I think you'll be happy...that's only a 1/2 inch difference from mine then.

Quick & dirty photoshop of OEM wheels powder coated bronze, I’m digging it.
Nice work, I know a shop that charges about $550 to sandblast and powder coat bronze. I have the iconic silver and the stock wheels look great otherwise bronze is the way to go.

I have some Dropstar 20x9 +18 offset that came off my 2018 f150. Just trying to find out what the biggest tire i can fit underneath the tremor with 2" leveling kit

Find a good tire shop that is willing to test fit a tire for you. My guess is 35s should clear no problem

Anyone have experience with powder coating wheels? Considering powder coating the OEM wheels black.
I've never done it, but like that idea. I think black is a better choice than the grayish Ford used.

Not really feasible to do yourself. Good job will be around $125-$175 or so a rim depending on your area, including dismount, tires off, powder coat, tires on, remount. Considering the rims have no touchup or repair work required.

A set of Method 305's would have you in about $400 or so per corner.

More or less, when I was considering powder coating the method 305s it was going to be around $450 per wheel with the powder coating, mounting tires (originally unmounted because came new from method), balancing, aligning. Plus the cost of the tires and i had to bring them basically the wheels and the tires.

For what it’s worth we had the wife’s Jeep Cherokee stock rims powder coated gloss black and I still love how they turned out. Been in use for I think 3 winters like that.

For all you who have switch over wheels/tires but kept the stock set. What TPMS sensors did you use?

Have you had any issues with them? Durability concerns?
None whatsoever. absolutely no regrets. Can’t remember if our stock rims have them or not as my stock rims are in storage but if we have plastic vented caps you’ll have to paint them black.

I always just use whatever Discount Tire puts in them. Never had an issue.

I'll be selling my OEM wheels and tires the first week of July. Replacing with aftermarket Nitto Recon's and Fuel Couplers if anyone is interested in the San Antonio, Tx area .
