Stock wheels or aftermarket. Can’t decide

Stock wheels are +34 offset I believe
This is correct. @Cranbery - keep in mind the offset change if the wheel width is different. It's not apples to apples unless the widths are identical.

Hmm thats more aggressive than i thought. I believe the stocks are 8.5 inch and the methods I'm looking at are 9 inch. I think +0 would be pretty flush then. What do you guys think?

18 x 9 +0

Stocks are 18x7.5

That’s cool, very handy calculator!
Handy indeed. I'm looking to find the biggest 17s I can fit under a level with minimal, preferably no, trimming and a bit of poke haha

@Cranbery the methods I got are a 17x8.5” 0 offset with a 34x11 tire and a 2” level and that’s as big as possible without trimming
Oh...well thank you haha. Any rubbing? How much poke? And what tires? 😆

You think an 18x9 will rub with a 285x70r18? I really wants 18s and they don't make them more narrow than 9

The toyo at3s in 285x70r18 are 11.3 wide and like 34.5 tall

I could also go up 2.5" in the front and not lower the back at all, keep a little rake. I plan to reinforce the leaf springs anyways.

Like, no trimming to go to the mall or no trimming to go to Moab? Your profile pick looks killer.

Nitto terra grappler 285/75/17 they measure out bigger than there website says. 2” readylift puck style level. No trimming what so ever and now that I have mud flaps on it’s definitely tight and it rubbed once on a bolt for the mudflaps on a slow speed 4wd trail. It’s tighter on the drivers side see pics. I know tire sizes sucks to figure out hope this helps.

It would be tight for sure honestly I’d probably go for it worst case would be some plastic trimming and maybe have to space the front bumper out a little bit. If possible have a backup plan and see if the tire shop can mount one first to test out.

This is awesome, thank you for posting. I want just a smidgen more poke so I will have to see what I can do. You think any wider of a wheel, adore neg offset, or just a spacer would rub?

im not an expert on offsets, defiantly more poke = more rub. but its really gunna depend on what tire size your after. if you have to go with a smaller size and more poke, a tire in the MT category would really help with looks. there is the odd guy on here that has negative offset wheels with just a levelling kit maybe try doing some searches.

I've been looking around online, but nothing super definitive yet. I won't sacrifice tire just for poke. I was just wondering if you had that conversation/ research while shopping.

ahh i understand. yes less poke = bigger tires. i think 0 offset is a good happy medium of decent tire size and good looks.

Are the stocks -18 offset or 0 offset? Wondering if method 18s with +0 and 35s with a 2 inch level would be an issue. I don't want to trim anything or rub. I'm assuming a 295 set would be no issue with an 18 inch +0 offset.
I can tell you at the stock offset on 35’s 12.50 you won’t have rubbing at all. Now at 0 offset on that same size tire it will require trimming or you will 100% rub when turning full radius and especially if turning while braking, and suspension flexes while turning. Im pretty sure you would be ok without any trimming on a 295 0 offset.

I say go for it, but make sure tire shop is prepared to do trimming if needed. I’d say after they install take for quick spin, full u turn while accelerating and braking, go over a bump or 2 while turning/ braking and if no rub you won’t need trimming. If you find out you do have rubbing have the shop trim and then repeat the same test drive.

I have 17x9" w/ +12mm offset on my Raptor and I get plenty of poke. Personally think 0mm offset is too much. Depending on tire size, you would need a lift to fit, but should be doable without trimming. Most forums agree you would need about 4" of lift to fits 35s on a typical F150. I know the Tremor is 1" higher, but not sure where that lift is coming from. If it's from the tires, it would be negligible when figuring out required lift. If it's from the suspension, it could be calculated into required lift height.

Perhaps it's just because I'm not seeing it in person that my perception of it is off. The poke on this raptor is spot on what I would want. I will definitely not go more than 0 then. Thank you.

On a different note, how do you like those Armory's? Any complaints or things you would change?
