Stuff I've added to my Tremor

Had to cut a notch in my Built Rite panels to accommodate the clamp for the GFC camper top.

I REALLY dig the adaptive headlights.
They are noticeably brighter, especially to the sides where deers love to leap out into the road.

I made the following changes in forscan, bambi mode, removed double honk and enabled adaptive headlights using these codes.

There was so much howling and sound from the GFC camper install I was worried about it long term.
I got a rhino rack bar with cowling and it resolved all my wind/howling issues. Well worth the money.

Jealous of your Go Fast Camper, you should have a Bed Rug in there.

Side Idea,
I have been thinking about having these powder coated Tremor Orange just for fun. I emailed them about shipping raw panels out. Even do the dash panel.

The glare free/adaptive head lights are really amazing. The road is so much more lit up at night it's nutty.
I am so glad to be done with the double honking thing.

Now I'd like to figure out how to disable that annoying text that sits in the middle of the rear camera view. I like having it up while driving to ensure folks aren't sliding into the rear of my truck in the ice.

in this view you can see the glare free lighting option and the temps on the oil and transmission guages.

Also, next up is adding a few lights.
I'm going to wire in this relay/fuse box to make installations cleaner.

I can't explain how annoying the cluster messages are when you're trying to save your truck from sliding down a hill.

The whole interface for actual off roading is terrible. I suppose I should have known it wasn't meant for tactical decisions or mixed mode use.

Set it for the worst you will encounter and leave it. What sucks is having to stop and turn on trail turn assist, I found out it sucks to leave it active while offroading just because it will cause you to eat through tires in a hurry.

I think what was most annoying is that I was sliding sideways down my hill. and couldn't recover because the truck had a series of prerequisites that wasn't going to happen. I was in low and locked. it wouldn't get out of one pedal drive (which was keeping me from recovering). Sometimes I look at a poorly engineered product and wonder if they are really that clueless or some other department made a decision that they had no business making.

You would think it would be a simple solution, but even though the technology is great they need to make it easier to turn on and off. Ex. Make it a button on the steering wheel. My problem with the trail turn assist came up when crawling up a ledge, I forgot I had it on and was trying to line the tires up which meant I had to turn to the left to get up, that in turn locked the inside left rear tire which took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on. Only when I locked the rear did I figure it out because it deactivated it.

yeah, it may be time to take a long weekend somewhere and learn all the new toys.

I would say I'd meet you at windrock or somewhere like that but I'm headed to Arizona for a few days. That's something I'd like to do is get a group ride setup for somewhere that we could get several of us together and just spend a weekend playing.

I'm getting ready to start planning this year's trip so I'll need to get a handle on what I can expect from the truck and what is a requirement. I may end up going around the country having parts put on so I can actually make it through a trip.

Yeah i had time to kill when we were in SC that's why I decided to check out Gulches. I need about 2 extra inches of ground clearance and to get more knowledgeable of the technology available on the truck, also a sweet set of rock rails would be nice, when I hung up the step I was worried, but they are tougher than I thought, pulled on through and only had a small scuff which I touched right up. Add a winch into the mix and I would be satisfied.

Overall the truck really surprised me with it's capabilities. About the only other full size truck on the market that could do what I have done in it would be the power wagon. Would love to get push button disconnecting sway bars for a bit more articulation, would prefer the same setup the bronco has though because the RAM/Jeep setup doesn't work right half the time.

Funny. Squirrel (my Ram Rebel) was the first full sized truck to make it up 22 @ Windrock. And yes, I needed every upgrade I put on it to make it up. My Power Wagon (hedgehog) was unstoppable.

a solid torsen sway bar would give us more than the IFS can handle unless you're willing to spend $5k on a mid-travel setup.

Ford decided to build this to compete with the ram rebel, I could be biased but I think the Tremor from factory is more capable than the rebel is.

How many upgrades did you have on your rebel to make it up 22? To answer the question you asked I would be willing to spend it to get the most capabilities I could get. Would it be necessary for what I typically do, no but it would be nice all the same.

Now that sounds like a cool idea!

Yes we need to create a post and try to figure out when and where several of us could get together at a place like windrock. Doesn't necessarily have to be at windrock but they have more trails and a campground than any other location I know of.

I'd make a trip out of that and drive up from Miami, nothing like that down here and would love to learn from some of you more experienced offroaders!

I just read this as, "I'm going to enjoy watching you guy bang your trucks up" :)
