Update #1 on pre-order status

Orders have been placed for housings, light strips, and lens material.

Lens material will be here this week so I can start making the lenses while waiting for the rest of the parts. This is the most tedious part of the work, so once the housing and light strips show up, it should just be assembly.

I’ll make sure to post more updates as I progress towards shipment of orders.

I hope I speak for everyone, but take your time. We know this is a big undertaking.

I have side vent lights and they want you to tap into the drl. Anything wrong with waiting for my grille light set to come and to tap into that asking with the parking lights?

Shouldn’t be any issues. I’m also working on a plug n play connector that will allow for tie in to the DRLs and turn signals without splicing into the factory wiring. Hoping to have them available by the time I start shipping the first orders.

That's perfect, i'll hold of on wiring the side vent LEDs. It probably works but I hate splicing into my brand new trucks DRLs

Would bumping up the DRL brightness in FORScan effect the grille light if tied together? I'm about to start messing with modules soon as I get my newer scanner this week.

So, I bumped up the brightness on my drl’s, and I “think” it made the bars brighter. But I’m not sure if it’s just in my head…

I’ve been trying to figure out why that would happen since the bars have a voltage regulator/controller box.

As a disclaimer, If it does increase the brightness of the bars, I don’t yet know the impact on the longevity of the bars and whether it will reduce their life.

The mod just changes the full brightness with the headlights on right? So during the day with your DRL's at full bright your bar should be at full bright?

Did you bump to full bright or 60%?

I think that’s how it works.

I only went to 50%. Factory setting is only 20%! It made a huge difference to the drl brightness just going to 50%.

For now, I’m focused on the first round.
So update time!

Housings and light strips have been delivered! I had started working on the lenses before Christmas.

So I’m starting to work on assembly of the January delivery orders!

My new job is going to have me traveling a good bit this month, but I’ll be home on weekends which is my main time to work on things anyways so I don’t expect much impact to my shipping timeline. I think I’m in good shape to assemble pretty efficiently at this point.

Spent some time on Monday cleaning the garage and setting up a clean work area.

Got some new tools to help me assemble more at a time. So hoping to start completing orders soon!
