It plugged into the driver's side headlight. Super easy to install

ok, so you got their PnP harness that they just released. sounds like it ties into the headlight pin rather than the DRL.

the harnesses im working with Starkey on will plug in exactly like the putco one, they just use the DRL for power instead of the headlight.

so you like that it's off in the daytime? i find that the FORD logo is hard to see when off in the daytime and it just looks like a blank logo plate. I like it on. i currently have mine wired to an upfitter, just cause i bought it used, before a PnP harness was available. i plan on wiring it into the same harness as the grille bars though.

Yeah its easy to see during the day with it off, at least it appears off...I might need to double check but it isn't "glowing" during the day.
I just received my Starkey adapter so I am going to daisy chain the PnPs (Ford emblem and your lights) and we will see how it goes

my harness with Starkey is actually 2 harnesses. one for each side since they tap the Turn signal as well.

I dont plan on using the turn signals for them or I would 100% get that harness as well. So I am going to try and just wire them all to the driver's side adapter. Hopefully thats possible?

ok, fair enough. yes that's possible. you'll just have to extend the wiring from the passenger side over to the driver's side.

I also like easy, so I will order your harness as well and just leave the turn signal disconnected. Any idea on an ETA with your harness? I was lucky enough and got in on the first round of orders so it would save shipping haha

You are correct, the upfitters do not get powered until you actually hit the ignition button.

I highly doubt any police officer would have an issue with them as they are no different than the raptor lights other than in design. Plenty of vehicles these days are coming from the factory with white or amber accent lighting on the front end.

I think if they are not red or blue. they wouldn't care.

Update time:
I am wrapping up assembly of all 25 orders for January. Will be finished tomorrow. I’ll start doing final cleanup and packing tomorrow with hopes to ship all orders this week.

This is half of the lights. The others are in another pile the other side of the garage.

Regarding the plug n play adapters, I do not currently have a timeline for availability since I am waiting for some feedback from a tester and then have to work out production details with Starkey.

Since I don’t know what the timeline is going to be, I want to get units shipped out. Folks who want to use the PnP harness can wait to install until they are available or can go ahead and do install to an upfitter and then switch to the harness if desired.

If you intend to wire to an upfitter, there will be some wiring necessary. Just running wire extensions from each light unit and tying into ground and upfitter switch.

I know this likely isn’t the perfect solution for everyone but the PnP harness was not in my original plan so I didn’t get started on it until right before Christmas.

All this being said, I’m really excited to get units out to everyone! I’ve been spending most of my time when I’m not on work travel getting these lights together. The lenses are hand made by me and really tedious. I’ve gotten pretty good at manually notching them on the belt sander and not making the notches too big to where I have to scrap the lens.

I can’t wait to see more of these trucks sporting them and really look forward to feedback from this community! This has been a major project for a dad of 3(2 born Oct 31, 2022) in my garage. There were times where I had one of the twins strapped to me while I was prepping light strips or housings cause the dad duties never stop!
