Tremor Rear Shock Options

Probably because they didn't use the lowering shackle that comes with the kit. The person on the forums that has that problem with the exhaust is because they didn't use the shackle.
Yep that’s me. No performance complaints. They’ve been great. And silent

Edit to add exhaust contact is minimal and occurs only at full droop. Which on the revised Halos is a lot of droop. Lowering shackles would prevent contact.

That was the suspected reason and it was here.

I have a 2022 tremor and both rear shocks are blown at 20,000km. Dealer has agreed to replace and let me upgrade minus the cost of stock shocks. Look for a soft ride similar to stock but better quality, rarely tow.
Are the fox 2.0 best option ? Truck is stock expect 2.5” level kit in front.

Bilstein 5100’s or Eibach

Purchased the Bilstien 5100’s and wished I went with 5160’s. The 5100 gets shock fade after about 30-40 minutes of hard Arizona off-roading. Waiting for my 5160 to come in so I can swap them out. Hoping to see an improvement with the external reservoir.

Is one superior to the other ?
They’re pretty much equal but when or if you upgrade the front shocks, especially if you go with the B8 6112 Bilstein’s, I’d definitely say the Bilstein combination is superior and definitely firmer whereas the Eibach combination is more comfortable.

One nice thing about the Eibach rear shocks is that they can be had with reservoirs while retaining the lifetime warranty whereas the 5100 Bilstein with the reservoir only, part# 5160, only comes with a 2 year warranty.

The Bilstein is a digressive shock meaning harder at the top but softer through the travel, Eibach is linear meaning it's softer at the tops and ramps up as it goes through the travel, they are equal as far as quality goes, just depends on what you want. If you tow a lot the Bilstein would probably be the better choice, I do mixed towing and offroad I like the Eibach's especially the new reservoir units they have for the rear.
Do they ride nicer then the Bilstein 5100s ?

Digressive valving has nothing to do with where the shock is in it's travel, it has to do with the velocity. Digressive shocks take more force to move them through the travel with low speed forces. At higher speeds they take less force.

The value to this is more stability at lower speeds and more comfort with high speed impacts.

Digressive valving is a good choice for mixed use trucks for sure as you get good road manners and decent comfort off road.

For dedicated off roading especially at high speeds, a progressive valving pattern may be preferred.

I have had the Bilstein 5100's for a couple of months now and my front shocks are still original. I find they bounce quite a bit on significant bumps at highway speeds. I wish they were a bit firmer.

I realize this but my explanation was to keep it simple and give an idea of what you would feel.
 
Do you have a part number for the 5160s ?

This is the link on shock surplus for the ones I’m waiting on. They sell the 6100/5160 kit assembled as well for the ride height you want so it’s a simple install when you get it.
Couldn’t recommend this company enough. I’ve called won’t issues that I didn’t think they could resolve and they did anyways at their expense. Below is the link for the full kit. I had mine set for 2 1/2” lift and love it.
