"Jason@stage3" is not reliable at all 😆 Photo for product looks wrong too, that sku is just 2.5 w/reservoir & compression adjusters. Black body is for F250 suspension on Elka website.

Did we ever get the valving(compression and rebound) on the 5160s designed for the f150? Depending on those, I'm eying the "universal" fit due to them being the perfect length. Not sure they're worth the extra $200 to revalve, though.

I haven't been able to find it. May send an email but seems like that's not even guaranteed tonget the correct answer.

I have sent 3 messages to them asking, if I get the chance I will try to call the tomorrow.

I just sent a message to two other companies that carry the 5165's that match almost exactly the proper dimensions of the stock shock to see if I could get any info from them, Bilstein still has not responded, if I can get the tomorrow I will try and call them.

This is the message

You would think these companies wouldn’t treat this sort of info like a damn trade secret
Funny enough, I think it was my call with Ivon that they said it was IP. I asked him to repeat it because it seems knowing your shock lengths are simple math problems that you need yo know before you attempt to swap parts.

Spoke to Eibach and asked why Tremor is not listed as supported, and they said were not thrilled with the test fit results (rear shock is too short and front will not level).. so they said they are still looking into other options.

May as well add the vertex 2.5" since they seem to be the best fit, so far.
  • Extended Length: 30.04in
  • Collapsed Length: 17.60in

Aren't those like $900 each though?

I've been having a nightmare trying to find either the Bilstein 5160s (discontinued) or the Bilstein 5100 33-318967
People at vendors keep telling me these aren't for my truck.

I'd obviously like as close to stock but for up to $200 each

The rough country are about 900 per pair.

I'm really disappointed in the lack of options. Hopefully next year there will be more interest in decent shocks for this truck.

I just got off the phone with Bilstein, the 5165's I posted about above should work he said, they will be about 15% stiffer because they use a slightly different valving for the universal fits which these are but he said it would help handle more weight in the bed or while towing, he said they currently did not make a shock specific to the Tremor but that if the lengths were spot on that it would be a good fit.
