Tremor versus Regular F150

Well I’m 75 and I don’t drive at night, or should I say , I don’t like to drive at night! My 24 Tremor I have no problem, driving and seeing at night anymore. !! I’m 75 but my mind thinks I’m 25.
Yea I don’t pay much attention to headlights never even thought about it which one was better or worse !!

I love the sound of a good V8, but I choose engines for their power, not the sound. I had a 5.0 Lariat/6 speed. I live at higher altitude where their are hills. A turbocharged engine trumps everything else. The 3.5EB is far superior to the 5.0 for performance with better, more usable torque.

Amusingly, the best sounding engine I ever owned was a 2L DOHC aluminum 4-cylinder in an Alfa Romeo. Unfortunately, the car rusted to pieces leaving only that glorious engine.

I prefer this sound

Looks like you could use a little coolant lol
It’s like digging a hole, there’s never enough to fill it back up afterward. Engine was running when I took the pic. I do have a question, the installer told me the sc coolant should be just below the min line because more than that was too much and caused issues. Was he cya or is that real?

I’m also open to volunteers to clean the engine bay :)

Hopefully there’s no leaks, the engine coolant reservoir should have more in it than that. As far as the Whipple reservoir, the min is there for a reason. You don’t want to introduce air into the system causing the charge air to be unconditioned, that can be catastrophic to the engine because of a higher potential of detonation. The steps for filling the intercooler system is below:

Turn the ignition to the ON position, after a brief delay, the electric pump motor will cycle. Air bubbles will begin to rise to the filler tee as the coolant level drops, continue to fill while pump is running. Once its done filling to the MIN LEVEL, turn the ignition key OFF, the level will drop, top off with fluid. Reinstall filler cap and turn the ignition ON and let run for 15 seconds. Turn key OFF, remove cap to release air. Repeat until the filler tee holds between minimum and maximum fill level with key OFF. To build more pressure in the intercooler system, try squeezing the intercooler hoses while the pump is cycling. Building pressure in the system will help push the trapped air from the intercooler system to the filler tee. NOTE: Do not let the coolant level in the reservoir run empty as this may introduce more air into the system.

I don’t know why anything above min would cause an issue, and if pressure rises too much from being over full there’s a pressure relief overflow dump to atmosphere.

V8 does sound good but there is something about hearing a couple turbos breath deeply and then sigh when you let off the gas.
I do rather miss the old days when large turbochargers were used, power was latent in coming on, and the wastegate would blow when the throttle was let off. Made driving much more visceral and entertaining, especially on slick surfaces.

Don't get me wrong, I love NA sound but an I6 turbo exhaust note is rather nice.

I drive my truck in sport mode 99% of the time. Sport mode disables cylinder deactivation as well as the bullshit auto stop / start garbage.

You and me both. Sport mode 99% of the time.

They do sound Sweet ! But the up Keep is a Bitch !!

Just get a lightly used Raptor. Better overall truck than the Lariat or Tremor and you won’t have to spend all that money on mods and upgrades 🤷🏻‍♂️
This is the way if you're looking at 24up. Sadly Ford degraded the Tremor so much on the 24up.

As far as I know, the only thing they downgraded was the headlights. The Torsen was optional even on the 402a package in some earlier years. It's limited to 402a for 2024 and 2025, but is available on 402a and 402b for 2026. Other than that, I'm not sure what you could be talking about.

Well let me tell you something!! I don’t know what you’re talking about or do you ! I started to buy a 21 tremor, didn’t looked at the 22 tremors money wasn’t right looked at the 23s money was tight. Bought a 24 in 24. I’m glad I did. !!
