Tremor versus Regular F150

As far as I know, the only thing they downgraded was the headlights. The Torsen was optional even on the 402a package in some earlier years. It's limited to 402a for 2024 and 2025, but is available on 402a and 402b for 2026. Other than that, I'm not sure what you could be talking about.
Do some driving at night. The headlights is MASSIVE difference if you drive at night much. The rest... I think there's some odds and ends.

I love the sound of a good V8, but I choose engines for their power, not the sound. I had a 5.0 Lariat/6 speed. I live at higher altitude where their are hills. A turbocharged engine trumps everything else. The 3.5EB is far superior to the 5.0 for performance with better, more usable torque.

Amusingly, the best sounding engine I ever owned was a 2L DOHC aluminum 4-cylinder in an Alfa Romeo. Unfortunately, the car rusted to pieces leaving only that glorious engine.
Yeah blowing thru mountain passes full speed while everyone else is barely crawling... Is very enjoyable!

I wasn't trying to be shitty , it might have came out that way. If it did I'm sorry. The 21 I was going to buy my friend did it was a good deal on a 401a . But with cloth seats and he had issues with the seats they keep coming apart at the seams. Truck had 600 miles when I looked at it. Came from Texas. 3 years later I found a really good deal on a 24 402A , But I still payed to much for it. The only problem I have had is the Panoramic glass leaking like a water fall. Had it fixed and then I got a recall on it. They were defective . I have had 4 FX4 in the past with 1 2.7 and the rest were 3.5's . I looked at the Raptor and I just thought it was too heavy when I drove it. Drove the Tremor with the V-8 and it didn't have the low end power the V-6 did. So I went with V-6 again. All of my old Trucks are hand me downs to my sons and step sons. I drive them until about 60000 and get a new Truck. We have had no issues so far. We change the oil and filter at 3000 miles or at lest try to. Must of the miles on my trucks are off road, Or back and forth from the woods . I'm 75 years old and the light's on my Tremor are really good at night for me, better than my older trucks. But bottom line , I don't think one is better than the other. Time will tell.

I've done plenty of driving at night in both the 2024 F150 STX I had and the 2025 Tremor. The LED headlights are fine. I can see very well with them. People flash their brights at me all the time because they think mine are on when they aren't. I've had halogens on the 2015 501a Lariat which border on being unsafe at night. Comparatively, these might as well be night vision.

My 2016 Super Duty had good halogens, and these LED's on my last two trucks are crazy bright by comparison. I've got shitty halogens in my 2001 Camaro SS. They work fine. I think people are way too obsessed with going brighter and brighter. Now so many vehicles in in coming traffic have fucking blinding light that makes it borderline dangerous for people on the other side.

People also don't know how to properly aim their lights. Lumens thrown in the air above the level line (e.g. into drivers eyes) is not useful brightness. The super sharp cutoff of the projectors gives really great aiming precision. All lumens on pavement, none in driver eyes.

Honestly for going actually off road, and if you vaguely care about your paint and not getting desert pinstripes.... The raptor is too wide for many trails. I barely make it down a lot of them without scraping the sides as it! 402a tremor is legit.

They also don't re-aim their headlights after installing lifts or leveling kits. They also do things like put crappy LED bulbs in halogen reflectors. I'm well aware, people are idiots. But besides that, many 100% factory cars put out blinding amounts of light for oncoming drivers.

Eveyone can have an opinion but I completely disagree. I had a ‘23 lariat high package and now a ‘25 tremor.

It’s a negligible difference at best. And it’s not me coping either. There are a few things about the ‘23 I liked a lot more. The tailgate up/ down button where the auto start/ stop is now. The light on the fob indicating remote start (why the hell did ford get rid of this). I think the dash graphics are better on the the ‘23 as well.

Headlights? I can’t tell the difference at night.

I'm not sure why people make such a big deal about this one. I can usually tell if my truck is running or not from a pretty good distance. Easily within the range of the remote. If for some reason it didn't start, its not usually that big a deal.

TCU34 , For one thing , I would think it uses up the battery in your Fob !! FYI

The reason Ford got rid of it probably wouldn't surprise me. Cost savings, battery savings, etc. What surprises me is how much it gets brought up on the forums. Not just this one, it gets mentioned a lot over on the F150Forum. People blow that out of proportion.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of many cost cutting aspects of these trucks. I hate the fact we need a third party latch for the driver's side seat to fold down easily. I don't like that the rear head rests don't fold down anymore. Ford stopped including the box link plates on a lot of trucks (even the 401a Tremor doesn't get them), I'd rather have real leather instead of this ActiveX pleather crap, and so on.

I'm aware of the key fob thing as I've had other F-150's that had it. I just don't think its a big deal.

Mine doesn’t light up , can’t remember any of them lighting up on my last 4 trucks. Maybe I just didn’t notice !!

Mine lights up, green for vehicle start, red for failed start.

I've noticed a red light flash but never paid it any attention. Learn something new everyday lol

When one of my previous trucks had it I didn't even notice it for quite a while. Again, I think its a neat enough feature but the importance people place on it seems disproportionately high. I get the hatred for cost cutting. I really do, but that's the least egregious one.

Because I can't see or hear my truck from inside my house, so having the light to tell me it started was a very nice to have especially in the event it didn't start. Also was cool because none of the other brands didn't have this feature.

I had it going back to my 2016 F150 and grew to love the little feature. And it was more annoying they just took it away, for seemingly no reason.

Obviously not a deal breaker but classic ford, giving you less for charging more.

Thats fine, and I don't think the rear head rests and box links are a big deal. In fact, I hadn't even noticed them. But clearly myself and others are annoyed at the fact the light is gone. So to each their own.

again your opinion.
You go on list things that you find egregious that a lot of people probably don't even notice.
